Your role is to adjust the load/capacity ratio as closely as possible. Particular attention will be paid to smoothing the load on reservations to avoid conflicts and wasted time, which requires excellent communication with all those involved on the site.
Your ability to anticipate will enable him to adjust schedules to ensure continuity without interruption.
Your technical mastery is a major asset when it comes to adapting the organization to operational constraints (weight, height, reach), and to the environment, such as weather conditions or available space.
Last but not least, you'll need to have a global vision of the sites in progress, enabling you to be responsive and strategic in coordinating resources, thus optimizing the productivity and safety of operations.
Reporting to the Site Manager, your main tasks will be :
Analyze needs :
o Based on discussions with customers, identify lifting requirements as early as possible, in line with current projects,
o Study technical and safety constraints depending on the lifting environment.
Planning and coordination :
o Draw up schedules for cranes, telescopic handlers and other lifting equipment, using a dynamic planning tool.
o Coordinate with operational teams to optimize resources,
o Ensure equipment availability by anticipating needs,
o Ensure that equipment meets technical lifting requirements.
Monitoring and optimization :
o Analyze the performance of lifting operations and suggest improvements,
o Reduce costs and optimize equipment use.
Communication and reporting
o Interact with customers, ship managers, machine operators and management.
o Write follow-up reports and suggest adjustments according to the needs of the various sites.
With a technical or logistics background, you have successful experience in the planning of lifting operations in an industrial environment, ideally naval. You are a rigorous organizer, able to anticipate, coordinate and optimize material and human resources in a demanding context. Your mastery of lifting equipment, safety standards and planning tools (PLANET, CMMS, etc.) enables you to ensure the continuity and efficiency of operations. Reactive, communicative and adaptable, you are a real conductor in the field.
Key skills :
Technical skills
- Mastery of lifting equipment (mobile cranes, telescopic cranes, overhead cranes, etc.)
- Reading and understanding of technical drawings (vessels, equipment, lifting areas)
- Knowledge of safety standards for lifting and heavy handling (regulations, instructions, periodic inspections)
Analysis of risks associated with lifting operations
- Knowledge of specific shipyard constraints (co-activity, limited space, saline environment, weather)
Organization and coordination skills
- Drawing up complex schedules under constraints (machine availability, weather, co-activities)
- Managing priorities and unforeseen events
- Interdepartmental coordination (production, logistics, maintenance, safety)
- Monitoring operations and reporting (dashboards, performance indicators)
- Optimizing resource use (machines, personnel, slots)
Behavioral skills
- Clear and effective communication with foremen, machine operators, internal/external customers
- Anticipation and responsiveness
- Sense of responsibility and rigor
- Ability to work under pressure (tight deadlines, critical interventions)
- Global vision and ability to make operational decisions
Additional skills appreciated
- Use of CMMS or ERP software
- Mechanical or engineering notions
- Experience in an industrial or naval environment
- Analytical skills and results orientation.
