Clean-up operation in the Bay of Catalans
united for a wave of cleanliness

The Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille and the Onet Group have once again joined forces to launch an initiative in favor of environmental preservation.

On Sunday August 27, a huge litter clean-up operation took place in the Bay of Catalans, marking a new year of working together to protect the oceans and the planet.

Thanks to the support of the " 1 déchet par jour " association, this civic initiative brought together 63 participants from diverse backgrounds, and is perfectly aligned with Onet's vision as a company with impact.

The clean-up day featured the exceptional presence of top swimmer Marie Wattel, who lent her support to this noble cause. The event highlighted the importance of preserving the oceans and fighting pollution.

A collective impulse
for a protected environment

The initiative, orchestrated by the "1 Déchet par Jour" association, in partnership with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille and supported by Onet, served as a platform to raise awareness of the impact of pollution from land and water-based waste.

In collaboration with the "1 Déchet par Jour" association and other partners, the operation mobilized 63 participants, committed to making an active contribution to environmental protection.

163kg of waste collected

The clean-up figures revealed a total of 163 kg of waste, broken down as follows:

  • 20 kg of recyclable waste
  • 77 kg of glass
  • 66 kg of non-recyclable waste

Despite the rainy weather conditions, participants demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the environmental cause, underlining their determination to take action to save our seas and oceans.

Towards new operations: the commitment continues

Indeed, the next beach clean-up in Calais, in collaboration with committed yachtsman Fabrice Amedeo and his #OceanCalling endowment fund, is on the horizon.
Onet is delighted to once again be at his side, underlining its ongoing commitment to the preservation of our marine ecosystems. Participation in World Clean Up Day will continue our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable world.
