Piloter Onet en Prévention, an annual meeting
to prevent employee health and safety on a daily basis.

On its 8th POP Day, the Onet Group is focusing on the prevention of addictions, a global public health problem that has been steadily worsening in recent years.

Thanks to the sharing of best practices and the involvement of the international team, the safety culture is strengthened and benefits all employees.

#J ASSURE, ALL RESPONSIBLE AND UNITED FOR SAFETY

Every year, POP Day (Piloter Onet en Prévention) is a major event for health and safety prevention. This subject is an integral part of the Onet Group's corporate culture worldwide.

From Marseilles to Tokyo, via Luxembourg, Spain, Morocco, Brazil and the United States of America, all employees rallied around these priority issues.

For this 8th edition, the topic of addictions was identified as a priority, complemented by road risk prevention and the sharing of best practices, often innovative, initiated internally in different professions.

Addictions, a subject to be mastered

Since 2020, addictions to psychoactive substances (notably alcohol and tobacco) have been responsible for over 100,000 deaths from accidents and illnesses every year, including almost 40,000 from cancer. Behavioral addictions (shopping, games, screens, work, sport, etc.) also have a significant - and sometimes dramatic - social, family and professional impact. According to IFAC (Institut Fédératif des Addictions Comportementales), around 5% of the French population is exposed to at least one of these addictions.

"Becoming aware of your addiction is an essential step towards overcoming it. But sometimes you need help to get there. Shared vigilance also applies to the prevention of addictions, by directing employees to help structures or alerting the appropriate departments within the company. For everyone's safety.

Vigilance on the road and road risk prevention

Committed to road safety for many years, Onet is continuing its efforts to raise employee awareness of all road risks.

Best practices, innovations in the business that are tending to develop

Managers' involvement in the development of a safety culture benefits all employees. It's by listening to our employees that some of them are able to push ahead with innovations and innovative practices that reduce the arduousness of certain tasks. For example, musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most recurrent pathologies on logistics platforms. Employees may suffer from them as a result of carrying loads or handling operations with poorly controlled postures and repetitive movements. Reducing exposure to musculoskeletal disorders is therefore a major social challenge.
