International Recycling Day: Onet Strengthens Its Commitment to Recycling Its Workwear
In observance of International Recycling Day on March 18, Onet reaffirms its commitment to the responsible management of its workwear and personal protective equipment (PPE).
This initiative is fully in line with the AGEC Act, which has required businesses to sort textile waste at the source since 2025.

A structured approach to supporting the circular economy
To keep pace with these regulatory changes and accelerate the environmental transition of its business units, Onet conducted a pilot program at several sites to test the collection and recycling of its workwear.
At the end of this phase, Onet selected Triethic, a certified social enterprise specializing in the collection and recycling of workwear and PPE. All sorting and recycling is carried out in France, with full traceability of operations.
An operational system deployed across all branches
A dedicated procedure has been issued to ensure consistent implementation of the system across all Group entities. In particular, it provides for:
- the provision of collection bins for textiles, helmets, and shoes,
- the collection of end-of-life PPE from teams,
- collection of containers by Triethic,
- sorting and directing materials to the appropriate channels,
- access to collection metrics, certificates, and invoices via a dedicated platform.
This organization ensures a smooth processing chain that complies with regulatory requirements.
Recycling streams tailored to each type of material
Workwear
- Sorting and donating clothing in good condition to organizations that provide job training or support services.
- Shredding for textiles made primarily of cotton, enabling material recovery.
- Energy recovery through mechanical recycling for heavily worn parts or those composed primarily of polyester.
Safety shoes
- Recycling shoe soles to make playground surfacing.
- Recycling of metal caps through a dedicated process.
- Conversion of other materials into CSR.
Safety helmets
- Sorting by plastic type, shredding, and sending to plastic processing facilities.
→ A 100% recycling rate.
An encouraging initial assessment
2025 Review Following the Solution's Deployment:
- 35 agencies are participating in the initiative,
- 2 tons of textiles were collected and recycled,
- All business units (Onet Cleaning and Associated Services, Onet Security, Onet Technologies, Onet Logistics & Production, and Centralized Support) have adopted the approach.
These results demonstrate the commitment of all teams and the effectiveness of the system that has been put in place.
