The Onet Foundation mobilizes for the Banque Alimentaire's national food drive

Volunteers and employees join forces with the Onet Foundation to help the Bouches du Rhône Food Bank with its national food drive. A weekend of sharing and mutual aid.

From November 27 to 29, the Banque Alimentaire held its national food drive, bringing together more than 130,000 volunteers across the country. Across France, 9,000 tonnes were collected, representing over 18 million meals.

In the Bouches-du-Rhône region, our employees were able to mobilize at Géant Casino in Marseille La Valentine on Friday and Saturday. The team of volunteers beat its record set in 2019, collecting over 4.2 tonnes of products in one weekend, compared with 4.4 tonnes last year, spread over 3 days of action.

All the products donated over these two days will be used to supplement the stocks of the Bouches du Rhône Food Bank, and will then be distributed in full to the 100,000 people the organization helps on a daily basis in the département.

The day of solidarity organized every year since 2010 could not take place this year due to the health crisis. The Onet Foundation, which works primarily to combat inadequate housing, has therefore extended its field of action by proposing this alternative project.

This fund-raising weekend was a way for Onet Group employees to promote the company's values of solidarity and sharing, and to unite around a common cause.

We would like to thank all the donors, as well as all the employees and volunteers from outside the Group who made themselves available to the Onet Foundation to take part in this solidarity event.
