Marc Véran appointed Director of Security & Safety and Defense Advisor for the Onet Group

The Onet Group announces the appointment of Marc Véran as Director of Security & Safety and Defense Advisor, reporting directly to Émilie de Lombarès, Chairman of the Board Onet.

Marc Véran's mission is to define and implement a global safety and security strategy, in close collaboration with the members of the Executive Committee. This approach is fully in line with the Group's integrity and performance.

In addition, as Defense Advisor, he will actively contribute to strengthening ties with defense and security players at local, national and international levels. This dynamic approach is designed to enhance the Group's influence and provide effective support for operations on sensitive sites.

Marc Véran, 58, is a graduate engineer from the Ecole navale and the Institut national des sciences et techniques nucléaires, a graduate of the Collège interarmées de Défense (Ecole de guerre), and a former auditor at the Centre des hautes études militaires and the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale.

He has held various positions in the French Navy and the French Armed Forces, including nuclear submarine commander, director of information and head of the nuclear forces division of the French Armed Forces General Staff.

A vice-admiral, he was also nuclear weapons inspector for the French President's office, maritime prefect for the Channel and North Sea, and chargé de mission for the Major General of the French Armed Forces in Paris.
