Marcos Ribeiro appointed Regional Director to support Onet's development in Portugal
After managing the commercial development of Onet SM21, a company dedicated to technical services in Brazil, Marcos Ribeiro is now head of the Portugal region within Onet Iberia, Onet's subsidiary in Spain and Portugal.
In his new role, Marcos Ribeiro will be responsible for developing and consolidating Onet's position in Portugal.

With over 20 years' experience in engineering services management, maintenance and facilities management in the energy and utilities sectors, Marcos Ribeiro benefits from an excellent knowledge of our business sectors. His main mission is to accelerate and guide the growth strategy of our subsidiary in Portugal.
Why did you choose to join Onet?
I joined Onet Brazil in 2021. Right from the start, I was very enthusiastic because the Onet Group's values - listening, respect, boldness - resonated strongly with my personal convictions. Listening enables us to respond ever more effectively to the needs of the people with whom we interact, be they employees, customers or business partners. This is reflected in the company motto: Stronger together!
I was also attracted by the Group's constant search for new services, its expansion into new territories, its search for new skills, its focus on excellence in order to innovate and differentiate itself in the global service market.
What are your missions for Onet's development in Portugal?
My main mission is to develop and fully consolidate Onet's position in the Portuguese market. This market has grown substantially in recent years, but it still needs a great deal of professionalization in the services field. My challenge is to drive Onet's expansion in Portugal sustainably and profitably, and to make Onet one of the top 5 service companies in Portugal by 2028, in both the private and public sectors.
What is your ambition for 2024?
Strengthen Onet's position on the Portuguese market by ensuring the commercial development of each service, cleaning, technical maintenance of buildings and logistics.
Develop operational excellence for our customers and in our target markets, such as industry, buildings, retail, logistics, education and healthcare, by bringing Onet expertise to bear.
Portugal, a country enjoying rapid economic growth
Since the end of the Covid crisis, Portugal's indicators have all been in the green. The country is showing a clear trend towards growth, healthier public accounts and job creation.
In view of the positive economic findings both from our subsidiary and from the country's trend indicators, Onet Iberia has made Portugal one of its growth priorities.
To embody our ambitions in Portugal, and to represent a company such as ours, with its history, its many skills and its international dimension, we opted for internal mobility. Marcos Ribeiro perfectly matched the profile we were looking for, both in terms of his knowledge of the Onet Group and his ability to embody Portugal's development ambitions. The Group has been present in Portugal since 2015, with its origins in the extension of the cleaning contract for Primark stores. With sales of around €3 million a year, Portugal comes under the operational management of Spain.
