What is the Global Compact France Network?
It is the official local relay of the United Nations Global Compact. Today, the network brings together more than 1,600 companies and 100 non-profit organizations around issues of social and environmental responsibility and sustainable development. The French network's mission is to support the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and the appropriation of the 17 SDGs by the French business world.
What are the Agenda 2030 and the 17 UN Millennium Development Goals?
The Agenda 2030 is universal, i.e. it applies to all countries. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 sub-goals are the roadmap of this Agenda 2030, which enables us to respond to societal issues.
The Agenda 2030 is organized around the "5Ps" for the Planet, People, Prosperity, Peace and Partnerships.
The 17 goals, broken down into 169 more specific targets, form the core of the plan, and describe the ideal 2030 horizon for sustainable development, which implies social justice as much as economic growth, peace and solidarity as much as the preservation of ecosystems.
