Onet committed to a sustainable future: our actions for European Sustainable Development Week 2025

On the occasion of European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW), held from September 18 to October 8, 2025 around the theme of adapting to climate change, the Onet Group is reaffirming its commitment to responsible, mutually supportive development.

A long-term commitment to the UN

Since 2004, Onet has actively supported the ten fundamental principles of the United Nations Global Compact, relating to respect for human rights, international labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption. In 2022, the Group strengthened its approach by joining the Marseille-Provence-Corsica regional circle of the Global Compact France Network, thus consolidating its territorial roots and its role as a committed player. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by 193 countries in 2015, constitute a structuring framework for Onet. They guide our strategy and enable us to:

  • identify our priorities in relation to our activities and locations,
  • forge lasting partnerships with our stakeholders,
  • develop services that create value for our customers and society,
  • build solid, responsible business relationships.

Make a concrete contribution
to the SDGs

In addition to these commitments, Onet takes action on a daily basis to contribute to several major SDGs, such as :
  • ODD 3: Protect the health and safety of our employees and customers,
  • ODD 4: offer training and skills development programs,
  • MDGs 5, 8 and 10: promote diversity and develop inclusion,
  • SDGs 6, 12 and 13: make our services part of a dynamic of circular economy, sobriety and the fight against climate change.

Energy transition and sustainable mobility

One of the major challenges of our time is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. In June 2025, Onet took a decisive step in the energy transition of its vehicle fleet: in order to achieve our 42% reduction in scope 1 by 2030, Onet decided that from now on every vehicle renewal would be 100% electric. This decision goes hand in hand with the accelerated deployment of electric charging stations in Onet branches.

Sobriety and innovation
in water use

Onet is also committed to the rational management of resources, particularly water, a precious and threatened resource:
  • Deployment of pre-impregnation techniques for conventional cleaning, enabling up to 20 times less water to be used,
  • Optimizing cleaning protocols in the food industry to reduce waste,
  • Experimentation with innovative technologies such as ozone gas, water electrolysis and dry ice blasting,
  • Development of energy-saving solutions in the transport sector, using no-rinse protocols and pressure reducers.

Adapting to extreme weather events

Onet also supports its employees when they are directly affected by the impacts of climate change. In 2024, the company and its Foundation supported :

  • 37 employees affected by flooding in Brazil,
  • employees and local populations affected by storm DANA in Spain, through direct aid and donations to the Red Cross.

These actions illustrate the Group's determination to stand by its teams, even in the most difficult situations.

Onet has committed to setting company-wide emission reductions to 2030, in line with scientific climate knowledge, with SBTi.
