Onet strengthens its commitment by joining the National Institute for Circular Economy

On Monday, October 8, 2018, Onet officially joined the Institut National de l'Économie Circulaire, an association dedicated to "promoting the circular economy in France and Europe", in the presence of MP François-Michel Lambert, its Founder, and INEC Deputy General Manager Stéphane Murignieux.

Onet takes another step towards promoting a circular economy model. As a reminder, the circular economy refers to an economic model whose aim is to produce goods and services in a sustainable way, by limiting the consumption and wastage of resources and the production of waste.

With this in mind, Onet has been working since 2015 on 2 major areas that respond to this logic: Onet's global responsible cleaning solution "Biogistic", optimized solutions for managing cleaning and IT WEEE. Today, these projects have become a daily reality for our branches and customers.

In line with this dynamic, on Monday, October 8, 2018, Elisabeth Coquet-Reinier signed Onet Group's membership of the National Institute for the Circular Economy.

Founded in 2013 by François-Michel Lambert, Member of Parliament for Bouches-du-Rhône, the Institut National de l'Economie Circulaire's mission is to promote the circular economy and accelerate its development through a collaborative dynamic. A multi-stakeholder organization, it has over 200 members, both public and private: companies, federations, local authorities, institutions, associations, NGOs and universities. The diversity of these members enables us to nurture a holistic vision of the circular economy, taking into account all economic, social and environmental issues.

More concretely, the Institute sets up working groups and conducts studies to centralize information, then shares best practices and supports local authorities and organizations in their implementation, notably through training courses.

The signing of this membership agreement is fully in line with the Group's commitment and will enable Onet to deepen its thinking in terms of the circular economy. Onet will be able to benefit from a regulatory and technical watch to identify potential impacts and opportunities, as well as taking part in working groups on the evolution of public purchasing practices, for example, or the optimization of indicators.

"By signing the Solidarity Economy Charter, Onet is seizing the opportunity provided by the Institut National de l'Economie Circulaire to work with all the institutional and economic players involved in the circular economy. With this membership, we have set ourselves the mission of making a real difference in terms of environmental impact, and of innovating for the emergence of new business models that can be adapted for all players in the sector" declares Elisabeth Coquet-Reinier, Chairman of Holding Reinier (Onet SA).

In addition to signing this agreement, Onet is strongly committed to responsible development. In fact, since 2002, the Group has been implementing a "Present for the Future" approach across all its businesses, to meet environmental, economic, social and societal challenges.

In this way, the Group is working to contribute to the sustainable development objectives set by the United Nations. Waste management, reduced energy consumption and employee training are just some of the areas in which the company is working to ensure its future sustainability.
