A look back at our sponsorship of Usine Extraordinaire

Onet took part in the 2nd national edition of l'Usine Extraordinaire, the exceptional and unprecedented event to change ideas about the factory, which took place in Marseille from November 14 to 16, 2019.

Onet has decided to support the Usine Extraordinaire Foundation, which is committed to changing people's perceptions of industry and demonstrating its contribution to training, innovation, industrial culture, regional development and technological, organizational and societal transformation.

In addition to providing reception and security services for the event with 25 reception staff and 35 security guards, Onet is also showcasing its expertise at its stand.

Another way to showcase the industry

The event, which welcomed over 20,000 visitors including 10,000 schoolchildren, apprentices and students from the south of France (from Perpignan to Nice, via Corsica), enabled us to showcase our expertise to the general public.

Visitors to our stand, for example, were able to discover some of Onet Technologies' know-how.

Wearing a helmet, they were able to explore a reactor and discover our LD.com laser-cutting tool in virtual reality, thanks to a 3D reproduction of the power plant. A very popular experience with visitors.

Visitors were able to get up close and personal with our "star robots": the C.R.I.Q.E.T and the MR419!

Using a joystick similar to that of a games console, they were able to manipulate the C.R.I.Q.E.T, a robot used to visually inspect steam generators in nuclear power plants. This robot is used to check the condition of steam generators during unit shutdowns.

After inserting the float into the steam generator through a hole just over 10 cm in diameter, it magnetizes to the inner wall. The inspection is then controlled from the control station.

In the form of a hologram, they were able to discover the MR419, which dismantles highly radioactive installations at CEA Marcoule using a remotely operated robot arm.

This robot has two specific mechanical arms: one for heavy handling and demolition operations, and one for finer, more precise operations.

The event was an opportunity for the general public to find out more about the Onet Group's activities in the nuclear industry.

Visitors were also able to talk to our teams about our highly technical businesses, which require high-level experts, and about career opportunities within the Group.

Onet meets the challenges facing manufacturers

The Onet Group puts its know-how and expertise to work for industry on a daily basis.

Through the development of specific solutions, we support our customers in the industrial sector.

For example, for our cleaning services, we can implement Onet's web-based waste management and tracking interface, Greenflow, on industrial sites ; or our cryogenics method, which offers a renovation solution that respects both substrates and the environment.

As part of our security services, in order to secure sensitive or isolated sites, Onet Security has a patented solution that is unique in Europe: Exosphere. This mobile surveillance unit makes it possible to enhance the security of an industrial site, for example, or of a construction site or large-scale event (solution approved for securing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games), day or night, thanks to the rapid deployment of observation, detection and signal processing resources.

Onet Technologies also offers training specific to the sector, thanks to fully modernized training centers and new equipment.
