Raising our employees' awareness of cybersecurity

To ensure the protection of our information, and that of our employees and customers, our Group is raising awareness on the subject of cybersecurity.

Onet enables its employees to better arm themselves against cyberthreats, by offering them a series of episodes delivering the best IT hygiene practices to follow. Our employees share their views on this initiative.

For effective corporate cybersecurity

With the increasing use of digital technology, cyberthreats to corporate information systems are proliferating; and the context of the health crisis has only amplified them (telecommuting isolation, phishing campaigns, etc.).

To remain competitive in the economic marketplace, a company needs to ensure the sustainability of its activities, its reputation and its compliance obligations.

In today's hyper-connected world, cybersecurity means protecting a company's information assets and know-how, which are mainly based on IT resources (personal data, manufacturing or production secrets, commercial data, and, where applicable, data entrusted by customers).

To prevent IT systems and information from being used to weaken the company, it's not enough to deploy technical security measures alone. Above all, you need to be able to rely on your users, and more broadly on all your employees. It's the vigilance and actions of each individual on a daily basis that also help to prevent risks and protect the company.

As part of this preventive approach, Onet regularly organizes awareness-raising and training events to communicate good cyber-security practices.

While these actions do not constitute an absolute bulwark of protection, they do enable our employees to remain attentive, and to acquire or improve the right reflexes in the face of constantly evolving threats.

Awareness-raising initiatives for our employees

Since February 2021, Onet employees have been invited to follow an educational series created specifically to address the Group's cybersecurity challenges. In a context where threats have increased with the health crisis and the use of telecommuting, the episodes deal, in an offbeat tone, with, among other things, social networks, passwords, USB keys, social engineering...

Each month, a new meeting is held on a specific theme to help them acquire the right reflexes to reduce their exposure to risks.

"Every last Tuesday of the month, we send a new episode to over 7,000 employees in France, Spain, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Brazil. The web series conveys the right messages and actions to adopt, with a touch of humor and a light-hearted approach. We set up a monthly appointment for our employees, where they can meet up with a spy and a mascot who return in each episode, just like in a real series", explains Nicolas Moracchini, Audit and Risk Management Director.

All concerned, our employees testify

As soon as the first episode was broadcast, we noticed that our employees were quickly made aware of the problem. For example, they spontaneously reacted by forwarding any suspicious e-mails they received to the Information Systems department, or they contacted our Helpdesk directly.

You have to be constantly vigilant. That's what we want to instill in our employees, for their own safety first and foremost, and by extension for the safety of our Group. These are good practices that are also useful in the personal sphere!

All Onet employees are concerned by the security of information systems.

We share their stories with you.

I like the fact that each episode deals with a particular theme and is understandable to everyone. They're easy to watch. As we go along, we learn good practices that should become automatic. The involvement of everyone is essential.

It's a series that's accessible to all audiences, humorous, intuitive and so educational! It's not technical, and it's about everyday things, like changing your passwords regularly. It's important to stay alert to these issues, especially in our line of work.

This webseries is a reminder of the good habits to adopt when it comes to computer hygiene.

The human factor is the number one vulnerability in cyber-attacks, and for a group with over 70,000 employees, raising awareness is an important issue. These videos help to raise awareness of cyber risks.

By tackling a serious subject in a light-hearted and humorous way, the Onet Group has succeeded in winning over a good number of employees. Since I've seen the episodes, I'm much more careful about what I leave on both my computer and my desk. I systematically check. I look forward to the next episodes.
