Framatome site in Romans: Strong mobilization of Onet agents during the health crisis
Our highly highly qualifiedOnet Romans-sur-Isère were able to adapt to the needs of our historicalriqutical customer Framatome in these complex healthe.
Framatome, a long-standing customer for the Romans-sur-Isère branch
As a nuclear boiler manufacturer and supplier of equipment, services and fuel for high levels of safety and performance, Framatome is a long-standing customer of Onet. It's a relationship that has lasted for many years, particularly with the Romans-sur-Isère branch.
One site, three fuel and component manufacturing activities
At Romans-sur-Isère, the Framatome site manufactures fuel assemblies for power generation reactors and fuel elements for enriched uranium research reactors.
For many years, this site has been managed by the Onet agency in Romans, which specializes in cleaning and disinfection services for hydroelectric, thermal and nuclear energy sites.
Onet's highly qualified agents provide services before a health crisis.
Usually, 30 agents Onet Cleaning and Associated Services work on the site: 15 agents in the tertiary area outside the controlled zone, and 15 agents in the controlled zone, who work 2x8 hours, 7 days a week.
The nuclear sector, which is specific in nature, requires total mastery of all professional gestures, in particular those enabling effective, but at the same time precautionary, disinfection of contaminants.
How our teams adapted during the health crisis
Service evolution: creation of a dedicated disinfection team
To maintain the site's tertiary and industrial activities while coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, the customer needed the teams to be able to readapt and the cleaning and decontamination work usually carried out to be rethought.
A dedicated team of 10 agents was set up at 5:00 a.m. to decontaminate all points of contact at the site entrance, and then spread out over the rest of the site throughout the day. Although the agents were trained and used to the challenges of disinfection on this site, they had to deal with a new type of service: disinfection of an infectious agent rather than just a contaminant. They had to adapt and readjust their skills to meet this major challenge: protecting everyone.
An agile work organization: between daily meetings and on-call arrangements
This period thus necessitated not only a strengthening of our services, but also a tailor-made organization to deploy them. These services were re-evaluated and readjusted along the way.
" Every morning, we took stock of the situation to anticipate and adapt to changing needs, stock availability, etc. It was also an opportunity to reassure ourselves and stick together in the face of this unprecedented situation. It was also an opportunity to reassure ourselves and stick together in the face of this unprecedented situation," explains Davy Colella, branch manager at Onet Cleaning and Associated Services in Romans-sur-Isère.
An on-call service has also been set up to ensure rapid and effective intervention should a case arise among the staff working on site.
The agency was also able to meet the customer's needs for disinfectant products with the help of Prodim, a distributor of professional hygiene products and equipment belonging to the Onet Group, which proved to be a veritable order relay: "Through this channel, we were able to order for our customer all the consumables needed to get the site back up and running... including hydro-alcoholic gels, etc." explains Davy Colella.
Mutual aid and strong support from Onet
" I felt very well supported by the Onet Group, which was very well organized to deal with this particular situation. Regional management was also very supportive, thanks to the regular updates we received. We were also able to share best practices between branch managers, " adds Davy Colella.
By way of example, the creation of a mailbox between branch managers in the region made it possible to share information and alleviate certain stock-related problems. " The support of Onet's management perfectly illustrates the importance and awareness that cleaning teams are an indispensable link in the production chain ", concludes Davy Colella.
What about today?
At present, on-call duty, masking and other disinfection precautions are still in place. A smaller team continues to disinfect contact points. Staff who used to work remotely are gradually returning to the site, and offices are cleaned daily.
