Electrical waste collection solutions: Onet and Récylum successfully roll out nationwide to all Environmental Services branches

Following on from the successful partnership initiated in November 2017 for its Security and Distribution businesses, Onet, a specialist in business services, has just completed the nationwide rollout of the Récylum solution for recycling professional WEEE across all its Cleaning entities

The Récylum solution is fully in line with the Onet Group's Responsible Development policy, "Un Présent pour le Futur", one of whose seven main axes is waste management (Treat, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). It enables us to efficiently optimize the collection and recycling of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment used by the Group for its services. Since the beginning of the partnership, 39 tons of professional WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) have already been collected and recycled by Récylum. This includes both small equipment (vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, etc.) and larger equipment (sweepers, single-brush machines, scrubbers, etc.).

Continued strong commitment to waste recycling eployment is a new stage in Onet's commitment to responsibility. The Group's commitment permeates all its actions.

"The aim of this partnership with Récylum is to give concrete expression to the commitments we have made as part of our Responsible Development policy, and to lead the way in this area in the service sector. So, in addition to our strong commitment to the use of eco-responsible products announced a few months ago, integrating Récylum's solution enables us to deploy a responsible approach throughout the cleaning services provided by Onet's teams". says Laurence Acerbo, Onet CSR Director.

A guarantee for Onet customers that the end-of-life cleaning equipment used on their sites is recycled .

As part of their CSR policy, customers are increasingly demanding transparent procedures from their suppliers. With this France-wide rollout, Onet is reassuring its customers that the WEEE chain is tracked and traced in an optimized way. Internal communication operations have enabled all Onet operating teams to be included in the process, with tools at their disposal for both branch and national management.

For Hervé Grimaud, CEO of Récylum, "This new agreement with Onet aims to demonstrate to the entire sector, and beyond, to manufacturers, just how crucial it is to implement sustainable waste management, particularly for sensitive waste. With this new step, we can highlight the challenges of sustainable waste treatment, and show that solutions for the responsible collection and recycling of electrical equipment already exist and are being implemented by leading players. We hope to go even further with the group.

A concrete contribution to society ONET also contributes to the development of new recycling channels, and consequently to the common effort of citizens to integrate recycling into their daily lives. In view of the success of the Récylum solution, Onet is now planning to extend the partnership to all the Group's businesses.
