Three French Championship Titles for Marie Wattel

At the 2026 French Swimming Championships, held in Saint-Étienne, Marie Wattel delivered a standout performance by winning three national titles in three days, confirming her return to the ranks of France’s top swimmers.

The swimmer, who has been with the Onet group since 2024, won her first race in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 53.96 seconds, meeting the qualifying standards for the European Championships. She then won the 50-meter butterfly in 25.99 seconds, before capping off this impressive performance with a victory in the 100-meter butterfly in 57.90 seconds—yet another time that qualifies her for the European Championships to be held next August in Saint-Denis at the Centre Aquatique Olympique Métropole du Grand Paris.

Beyond the times themselves, this triple victory is the reward for several months of hard work and perseverance in the United States. As the 2022 world silver medalist in the 100-meter butterfly, Marie Wattel is demonstrating that she is gradually returning to her best form and is approaching the upcoming international competitions with strong ambitions.

A champion who is also actively involved with the Onet Foundation

A few months ago, Marie Wattel came to share other values with Onet’s employees. As part of the sports partnership between the swimmer and the Group, the Onet Foundation once again partnered with its association at an event Sports and Sharing designed to promote access to the sport for everyone.

This community-minded initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of sports as a vehicle for inclusion, health, and social cohesion. True to her commitments, Marie Wattel continues to use her fame and experience to support a cause that is particularly close to her heart: making sports accessible to as many people as possible.

The Group extends its heartfelt congratulations to Marie on this outstanding performance and wishes her every success at the European Championships.
