A wave of opportunities
for our little swimmers!

As part of our long-standing partnership with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille, Onet organized a swimming detection operation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, for the children of its employees.

Welcomed in the legendary CNM grounds, the young participants had the opportunity to test themselves in real conditions alongside the club's instructors, with a great prospect at stake: joining the Cercle's aquatic school from September 2025, with a year of free registration as part of our Onet x CNM partnership.

Alongside sport and youth

Our partnership with the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille dates back to 1991. For over 30 years, we have supported this iconic French swimming club, home to numerous elite athletes. This relationship is part of our commitment to supporting sport as a vehicle for many of the Onet group's shared values.

This support takes on its full meaning when we know that swimming is the 2nd most practiced sport in France, with nearly 4.2 million regular participants (source: Ministry of Sports, 2023) , and that one in two children cannot swim when they start 6th grade (source: FFN, 2022) . It is therefore essential to act early to develop learning and prevent the risks associated with not mastering swimming.

Marie Wattel, an example for young swimmers

Marie Wattel, a high-level swimmer, was present at our 2024 scouting event and shared this special moment with the children and their families. A member of the Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and an athlete supported by Onet, her career is symbolic. Her presence allowed the children to look ahead and dream big.

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Marie Wattel shone, notably competing in the 100-meter butterfly, where she placed 9th in the semifinals with a time of 57.24 seconds. She also contributed to the 6th place finish in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay. After these strong performances, Marie decided to give her career a new lease on life by preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games, which she hopes to prepare for in the United States to take on new challenges in a different environment.

An experience for our employees' children

Beyond the performance, this day allowed the children to discover the CNM aquatic school, which is not limited to learning to swim: it cultivates confidence, a taste for sport, and team spirit through an introduction to water polo.

Congratulations to all the children for their enthusiasm and motivation. Thank you to the CNM teams for their support and kindness, and to Marie Wattel, whom we continue to follow remotely, for her inspiration.
