Your mission

 

 

 
Every year, we are committed to supporting interns and work-study students to help them earn their degrees while training them in our fields.  

 

Asa work-study student in the Methods Technician program specializing in Aircraft Protection and Painting, you will provide support across the entire region. You will report to the Industrialization and Methods Manager and work closely with internal teams, support departments, customers, painters, and team leaders.

 

Your main tasks:

 

Methods & Documentation Pillar:

  • Update the technical reference system: draft and optimize manufacturing procedures and instruction sheets (mixing instructions, drying times, humidity conditions).
  • Participate in REACH regulatory monitoring and the introduction of new alternative products (particularly those free of chromium).
  • Ensure that Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are kept up to date.
    Monitor and analyze quality indicators related to painting and protective coating processes.
  • Conduct root cause analyses in the event of application defects (bubbling, thicknesses outside tolerance, non-conformities).

Field Support Pillar:

  • Provide technical support to operators and serve as their point of contact to explain changes in processes
  • Explain and support the implementation of process changes with the teams.
  • Conduct workstation audits to verify that procedures are being followed correctly (technical procedures, surface preparation, rivet sealing).
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose concrete solutions (tools, masking methods, cycle optimization).
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of on-site practices in line with quality and industrial standards.


Analysis and continuous improvement:

  • Help optimize painting and surface protection processes.
  • Monitor the corrective actions implemented and assess their effectiveness.
  • Help standardize best practices and ensure they are shared with teams.

 

 

Your assets

Education Bachelor’s degree (2–3 years) in materials processing, industrial engineering, materials chemistry, or industrial processes.
A specialization in surface treatment or aerospace painting is highly preferred (e.g., BTS in Materials Processing – surface treatment track).

 

Ideally, you have some prior experience in an industrial setting, particularly in areas such as process engineering, quality control, or production, related to technical processes (painting, surface treatment, aerospace).

 

 

Proficiency in IT tools and industrial systems: SAP, document management tools (such as Normaster), and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills (dashboards, tracking metrics).
Familiarity with data tools (such as Skywise) and the ability to read drawings using CAD software (Catia V5/V6 or equivalent) is a plus.

 

Rigor and precision, with a keen eye for detail in a demanding environment.
Ability to analyze technical data and propose appropriate corrective actions.


Technical curiosity, with an interest in product chemistry and industrial processes.

 

Strong interpersonal skills and a practical approach, with the ability to support operators on a day-to-day basis.
Team player, organized, and able to interact with a variety of stakeholders (production, quality, methods).
