To support the growth of our engineering projects for the nuclear industry, we are recruiting a thermal-hydraulic design engineer f/h.
Reporting to the "Calculations" Unit Manager, you will work on complex thermal and mechanical equipment design projects for the nuclear industry, and carry out various thermal, hydraulic and thermo-hydraulic (and possibly mechanical) studies in collaboration with other teams or departments in the Onet Technologies technical department.
In this context, your main tasks will be as follows:
Participate in all project life cycle phases, from the tender phase, studies (feasibility, preliminary design, detailed design, execution design, etc.), implementation (consultations, contractualization, execution, assembly), factory acceptance tests, to on-site commissioning (assembly and testing).
Participate in the design of various systems and equipment in collaboration with the project team and other engineering departments within the Technical Department.
Analyze input data from tenders, projects, or business cases, and define and justify calculation hypotheses based on equipment life cycle phases, in accordance with nuclear regulatory standards
Perform thermo-hydraulic (and potentially mechanical) sizing calculations (using finite element and analytical methods) in accordance with nuclear regulatory standards.
Generate technical documentation within their area of expertise, strictly adhering to the defined technical scope.
Draft specifications, consult suppliers, and analyze received proposals.
Participate in the technical verification of deliverables produced within their area of expertise.
Participate in and/or lead technical meetings, whether internal, with clients, or with subcontractors and suppliers
- Anticipate and identify potential technical, cost, and scheduling issues, and propose areas for improvement.
5 years' higher technical education (engineering school or university equivalent) in fluid mechanics, thermal-hydraulics and numerical simulation, ideally with a minimum of 5 years' experience in thermal-hydraulic calculations in a nuclear design office.
A basic knowledge of mechanics would be a real plus.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following software packages: Aspen EDR, EchTherm, HTRI
Knowledge of ANSYS CFD software (CFX or Fluent)
Ideally, you will have initial experience in the following areas:
Thermo-hydraulic (and potentially mechanical) design and sizing of heat transfer equipment
- CFD numerical simulations
You therefore have solid experience in nuclear equipment, particularly under pressure.
