Challenge Alternance et Stages: promoting access to employment while digitizing recruitment!

From April 6 to May 21, France Bleu and the AEF Info media group are organizing the Challenge Alternance et stages on the jeunesdavenirs.fr platform.

The aim of this initiative is to support young people, who have been hard hit by the economic crisis, by facilitating their first access to the world of work via a digital platform that brings together candidates and recruiters.

Onet supports this initiative to promote access to employment.

What does the Challenge Alternance et Stages actually involve?

The concept

This initiative has been designed to alleviate the current difficulties faced by young people, who are in the midst of building their professional future, in encountering the business world in the current health crisis. The aim is, whatever their level of qualification, to help them find an internship or work-study placement, by providing them with a dynamic digital recruitment space. A tool that provides a pragmatic response to immediate and important social needs.

How it works

From April 6 to May 21, registration is open on jeunesdavenirs.fr. Companies can post their job offers. Candidates looking for internships or work-study placements can register and share their CVs. The software then matches the most relevant offers to each CV as simply as possible! Support services will also be offered: interview preparation, information on possible assistance, etc. Throughout the Challenge period, France Bleu will also be broadcasting interviews, testimonials, training and career ideas and advice. These programs are also available on the radio website and on jeunesdavenirs.fr.

The goal? 50,000 matches!

The challenge is launched: "50,000 matches" to be created between recruiters and candidates for an internship, apprenticeship or professionalization contract! Every day, the score of matches achieved is posted on the platform, so that the exceptional mobilization is valued and reassures the young people concerned. A little extra to help them face the start of the new school year with greater peace of mind.

Be part of this great initiative? A matter of course

Onet, ready to take part in this challenge!

Initially a partner of AEF, within the framework of actions to promote access to employment for young people, we wanted to play an active part in this challenge! As a high-impact, responsible company, our involvement in this type of initiative was obvious.

AEF often organizes trade fairs and forums for young people, in which we participate. This particular year, we've come up with a different format: digitalized professional meetings. These helped young people make their first contact with the business world, while providing a relevant solution to meet a specific current need.

By publishing job offers on this platform, we continue to be a company with social and societal responsibilities, aware of the high stakes of work-study programs and internships for today's young people, who will be our employees tomorrow. It's a great way to showcase our professions, to generate new interest and questions, and why not, new vocations!

Apprenticeship, a source of diversity and wealth for the company

" Work-study programs are an essential link in our society. Helping young people to discover the corporate world so that they can immerse themselves and grow at the pace of their assignments is a source of fulfillment and understanding of what they want to develop professionally," confides Pierre. Apprenticeship is one of the best ways of integrating young people and making them want to work in our businesses. We are committed to recruiting, training, mentoring and retaining them, so as to perpetuate our Group's culture and values of respect, listening and boldness.

Recruitment, towards the digitization of practices?

Digitizing recruitment to promote access to employment for young people is an action we have already experimented with in September 2020 through the "Déclic!" initiative, an e-job forum dedicated to young graduates from the 11 largest companies in the PACA region.

Entirely digitalized, this e-Forum featured 4 highlights: 28 e-workshops to help you prepare for an effective job search, 9 e-presentations by Espace Mapp member companies, an e-debate for a privileged moment with HR managers, and an e-job fair.

With over 300 young graduates registered, and 16 companies looking for new employees to fill vacancies in almost 45 different business sectors, the "Déclic!" E-Forum provided a forum for constructive exchanges and great career opportunities.

The forum was organized by Espace Mapp, a group of leading international companies in the South of France, including Onet.

The aim of this group is to federate and capitalize on best practices and innovation in HR.

A committed global Human Resources policy

Promoting access to employment for all young people

Many other actions speak volumes about our commitment to young people. For example, we publish all our eligible job offers on the www.1jeune1solution.gouv.fr website, which aims to find solutions for permanent employment, work-study or internships.

Our partnership with Nos Quartiers ont du Talent, an association that promotes the professional integration of young graduates with a baccalaureate of 3 years or more who live in disadvantaged neighborhoods, adds another stone to the edifice of our inclusive approach.

A final significant and concrete example of our commitment is our involvement with GEIQ PACA (Groupement d'Employeurs pour l'Insertion et la Qualification), another formidable tool for promoting access to employment. As Raphaël, a member of the GEIQ PACA work-study program and Onet Services Marseille sud, can testify: "I'm learning with my colleagues. I was looking for a work-study program to really learn the job, to progress and to earn a living. With the GEIQ, I also get triple support: from the GEIQ, my school and Onet. That makes me even more determined to continue.

And culture is not to be outdone in helping young people achieve a bright future, whatever their background. In 2019, Onet has signed a partnership with Institut Télémaque, which offers middle-school students from priority education networks, formerly ZEP, the opportunity to be sponsored by employees in order to build cultural accompaniment paths in their free time.

Diversity in all its forms

"Diversity really is our wealth," says Pierre Cerdan. Take the example of JOB À CŒUR, an association and platform for inclusive employment that puts job applicants in touch with inclusive recruiters, of which Onet and its partners are part, to promote inclusion in employment. This platform enables our employees to become volunteers by joining one of our partner associations as a skills sponsor.
