Sailing in the world of competitive sailing
The program for these exclusive visits included a complete exploration of Fabrice Amedeo's new IMOCA, unveiling the mysteries of competitive sailing. Employees and their families had the opportunity to delve into the technical details, innovations and challenges that accompany this monohull. The skipper shared his experiences of life on board, including cohabitation with his co-skipper, Andreas Baden.
Ocean preservation at the heart of the adventure
This immersion was an opportunity to recall Onet's commitment alongside the navigator in the #OceanCalling project. The scientific sensors on board, financed by the Group, will collect essential data throughout the race. In addition, these sensors will help to explore areas of waste accumulation that have been little studied until now, opening up new perspectives for research. The information gathered will be used to analyze the health of the oceans. Fabrice Amedeo expresses the need to collect this data for the scientific community, underlining the importance of collaboration between competitive sailing and science.
Sharing moments before the "Route du Café
These moments of sharing and discovery take place just before the start of the "Route du Café", highlighting the stakes of this race for our navigator. An experience that will live long in the memory, underlining the commitment that underpins this unique partnership. Participants had the privilege of going behind the scenes of ocean racing at the heart of the Transat Jacques Vabre starting village. This exceptional encounter gave them a better understanding of the challenges of competitive sailing, onboard technology and scientific research at sea. The partnership between Onet and Fabrice Amedeo has been strengthened thanks to moments of sharing and awareness-raising like this, reminding us of the importance of our commitment.
