European Mobility Week, a key CSR event for Onet

Held from September 16 to 22, European Mobility Week (EMW) aims to encourage citizens, companies and local authorities in many European countries to opt for more environmentally-friendly modes of transport. As part of our long-standing commitment to CSR, we are stepping up our actions with our employees during this annual event.

European Mobility Week: Do good for the planet!

"Zero-emission mobility for all" is the theme of the 2020 european mobility week 2020. Its aim is to encourage citizens, local authorities and businesses to take action to achieve the long-term goal of a carbon-neutral continent. Its aim is also to encourage as many people as possible to adopt a sustainable eco-citizen approach, giving priority to soft mobility and alternatives to the private car: public transport, car-sharing, car-pooling, cycling... and promoting sustainable eco-mobility.

Promoting sustainable eco-mobility is essential for Onet

Creation of a "sustainable mobility"SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY"Since 2019

To meet the mobility challenges of tomorrow, a "Sustainable Mobility" working group was set up at the end of 2019. Co-directed by Onet's Responsible Development Department and General Resources Department, this group has launched an initial phase that has enabled us to evolve our Car Policy to:

  • Significantly increase the proportion of clean vehicles in the listing catalog, for both personal vehicles (PVs) and commercial vehicles (CVs), i.e. a choice of 12 PVs/CVs in 2019 (instead of 7 in 2018).
  • Think in terms of TCO (total costs and charges) rather than rent. This allows you to select vehicles from the catalog that are really suited to your needs, and to take into account the advantages of electric and hybrid vehicles in terms of fuel costs and taxation.

Eco-mobility at Onet: initial results are encouraging

  • The proportion of vehicles with emissions of less than 120g CO2/km (categories A and B) has risen to 71% of our internal combustion fleet.
  • The fleet comprises 173 hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • All new internal combustion vehicles come with a Start and Stop system as standard.

Awareness-raising webinars organized with EKODEV

To continue this approach, our employees are invited to attend two webinars on September 16 and 17. Produced by Onet's CSR teams with the help of Ekodev and Holson, these one-hour webinars will once again raise awareness among our employees of the need to adopt a sustainable eco-mobile approach.

TO FIND OUT MORE: A brief history of mobility at Onet

We have long been committed to improving mobility.

Shuttles, buses, carpooling - we've been able to set up a range of actions thanks to our Mobility Plans.

For example, as early as the Laure law in 1996, Atmosphere Protection Plans were deployed to monitor air quality.

Since then, we have provided over 8,000 eco-driving training courses for our employees. Another significant illustration of our commitment: we have also ensured that all the vehicles in our fleet are equipped with Star and Stop, and that 90% of them comply with Vignettes Crit'Air 1 and 2.

Finally, the Mobility Orientation Act, promulgated on December 24, 2019, with its major national commitments, should enable us to continue in this vein so that the energy transition favors mobility thanks to our "Sustainable Mobility" working group supported by our Management Committee.

How about walking and cycling?

The human body is made to move, but many people just can't find the time to stay active during the day. Most of our daily activities take place in a seated position: in public transport, at the office or in front of a screen. Have you ever considered cycling or walking to work?

These two active modes of transport produce no harmful emissions and contribute to the health of your heart and body. What's more, cities that favor walking and cycling over private vehicle traffic are also more attractive, with fewer traffic jams and a better quality of life.

Now you know what you have to do!
