SPTI
mandatory and ever more ergonomic

In the "Agent safety " feature published by Protection Sécurité Magazine (Special issue on private security 2022), Claude Defarges, Director of Operations atOnet Securitys Director of Operations, presents the Lone Worker Protection System (SPTI) available to our agents in the field.

Claude Defarges, Operations Manager Onet Security

Protecting the health and safety of our employees

The safety of our employees is essential, and we have to be all the more vigilant and attentive to their needs as they work off our premises, at our customers' sites.

We mainly use ruggedized smartphones with a hard shell and a geolocation system. This enables the alarm to be triggered quickly in the event of an attack...

The information is transmitted to the remote monitoring PC, and a follow-up call is made to verify the nature of the problem. If the agent does not respond, an intervention is automatically triggered.

Systems tailored to the specific needs of each site

For each new service, instructions are put in place, linked to the particularities of the site. If an agent is stationary, in front of a wall of screens for example, a reverse detection system triggers an alarm if there is no movement after a time delay.

We equip each site with one or two dedicated smartphones. A radio system with relay is not always possible at certain sites.

In this case, we never take the risk of sending an employee on his or her own, as safety is ensured by a team of two.

 Reliable equipment with enhanced autonomy

We cannot have the slightest doubt about a safety device.

Our fleet of ruggedized smartphones is sourced from two suppliers, so in the event of maintenance or system failure, a competent repairer is always available anywhere in the country.

Refurbished appliances are out of the question.

In the event of problems, a standard exchange is arranged with the supplier. Autonomy is a key factor in equipment selection, and it's true that lithium batteries are particularly powerful.
