Onet's commitment to sustainable mobility

From September 16 to 22, 2023, the 22nd edition of the European Mobility Week (EMW) will be held, with the aim of encouraging as many people as possible to adopt more environmentally-friendly modes of transport.

On this occasion, let's take a look at Onet's commitment to sustainable mobility.

In 2019, transport accounted for 31% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in France, with the private car at the top of the list, contributing 51% of the sector's emissions.

With this in mind, Onet has been working for many years to promote sustainable and responsible mobility.

Committed partnerships for a greener future

As part of our commitment to sustainable mobility, we have established significant partnerships with leading companies in the sector.

Among them, BlaBlaCar, France's leading car-sharing company, offers a dedicated service for daily commutes to and from work.

This partnership makes it easy for our employees to find other people sharing the same routes, encouraging carpooling and reducing GHG emissions.

Another key partnership is with Geovelo, an innovative bicycle navigation solution.

Geovelo calculates suitable routes for cyclists, taking into account comfort, safety and peace of mind. The proposed routes vary according to individual preferences, whether for speed or safety.

Our aim is to further develop the use of bicycles within Onet, offering our employees a more sustainable mobility option.

We want to support our employees in changing their behavior.

Encouraging our employees with Sustainable Mobility Packages

In addition to our partnerships, we have conducted surveys among our employees to better understand their mobility needs and preferences.

These surveys revealed that, in the Paris area, the majority of our employees regularly use public transport, while only 2% regularly carpool.

Cycling remains an under-utilized option, mainly due to work schedules.

To remedy this situation, in 2022 we launched an initiative called "Sustainable Mobility Packages."

This scheme encourages all our employees to make a minimum number of home-to-work journeys by bicycle and/or carpool by offering an annual allowance as an incentive.

Onet's bicycle plan

For commuting to and from work :

Onet Technologies was the first to sign a "Forfait Mobilité Durable" agreement on sites where urban planning is well developed, with the obligation for users to respect the highway code.

To achieve this, Onet University has set up a specific training program.

For business travel:

A "cargo bike" pilot group has been set up. Currently 2 branches are being tested.

The aim is to provide our customers with a low-carbon, fluid offer, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
