As part of the opening of a new logistics facility dedicated to a major player in the aerospace industry, we are expanding our organization and creating a position for an Assistant Site Manager.
This site, which will eventually employ between 45 and 50 people, will support the development of a business with significant operational, quality, and customer service challenges.
Reporting to the Site Director, we are seeking a Deputy Site Director for our on-site logistics operations.
Your main responsibilities:
Management & Operations
- Supervise and lead operational teams on a daily basis,
- Be present on-site to ensure that logistics operations run smoothly while meeting defined deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets,
- Adapt the organization and schedules to ensure optimal operational efficiency,
- Foster a positive and cohesive work environment,
- Monitor the site’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement the necessary corrective actions,
- Contribute to achieving performance goals and the continuous improvement of customer service.
Relationship with our client:
- Serve as the day-to-day operational liaison with the client,
- Ensure service quality and client satisfaction,
- Participate in steering committees (COPIL) and help monitor action plans and operational commitments.
Quality, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental rules and requirements,
- Actively participate in risk prevention and the improvement of site practices.
Site Management and Oversight
- Participate in determining team sizes and recruitment,
- Conduct weekly headcounts and ensure they are forwarded to the regional office,
- Collaborate with administrative departments to track contracts, amendments, bonuses, and overtime,
- Forward the necessary information for payroll and billing.
- Prior experience in distribution, preferably in a site supervision or team management role,
- Minimum of a Bac+2/Bac+3 level post-secondary qualification (or higher) in management, logistics, business, administration, or a related field.
You have a successful initial experience in site supervision and team management,
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams,
Proficiency in IT tools required for site operations management;
Versatility, a strong sense of responsibility, and results-oriented approach;
Team spirit, active listening, and ability to take initiative;
