Job Opening: Landscaping Maintenance Worker (M/F), Permanent Position, Bouches-du-Rhône (13)

As part of a recruitment drive for our client’s facility, IDEX CD Tarascon (Correctional Facility), we are seeking a Landscaping Maintenance Worker (M/F)

Reporting to your manager, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Missions :

- Prepare, use, and store the equipment needed for maintaining green spaces,
- Maintain green spaces: mowing lawns, brush cutting, weeding, trimming hedges, and caring for plantings,
- Collect leaves, branches, and debris, then sort and dispose of them,
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment: brush cutters, lawn mowers, tractors, and pruning tools,
- Strictly follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE),
- Ensure the cleanliness, upkeep, and enhancement of outdoor spaces,
- Supervise inmates in the following activities:
- Maintenance and landscaping of green spaces,
- Mowing, brush clearing, hedge trimming, and weeding,
- Collection, sorting, and disposal of yard waste,
- Use of landscaping equipment in accordance with safety regulations.

Profile required:

- Reliable, self-motivated, and thorough,
- Ability to work outdoors and in a safe, regulated environment,
- Experience in maintaining green spaces and/or landscaping is a plus,
- Sense of responsibility and adherence to safety guidelines,
- Ability to work in a team and supervise others,
- Good physical condition and a preference for working outdoors.

You play an important role in ensuring a clean and healthy environment for the occupants of the premises. Through your work, you contribute to our customer's satisfaction.

Please note that IDEX is a detention center. The site requires a clean criminal record and a European Union identity card.

HOURS: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Vocational Diploma in Hygiene and Cleaning, or equivalent experience, is required

If you’re motivated, energetic, and enjoy working outdoors, you already have some serious strengths for this position. Your ability to work as part of a team, your attention to detail, and your commitment to doing a good job will also be highly valued. A CAP and/or vocational high school diploma in the field of landscaping, horticulture, or an equivalent field, as well as prior experience in a similar role, are preferred, but all applications will be considered.
