To support the growth of our engineering projects for the nuclear and defense industries, we are recruiting an expert engineer in mechanical calculations F/H.
Reporting to the Technical Department, you will be involved in complex mechanical equipment design projects and contribute to various mechanical, thermomechanical (and possibly thermo-hydraulic) studies in collaboration with other teams in the Technical Department.
In this context, your main tasks are as follows:
You are involved from the bid phase onwards, analyzing technical feasibility and guiding towards technically and financially efficient solutions. You will also be involved in drawing up technical bids, contributing your experience in terms of feasibility and robustness.
You check or delegate the checking of technical documentation and take part in design reviews and cross-functional technical meetings on projects, as requested.
You assess technical risks and develop solutions adapted to the issues and challenges identified, while controlling costs and deadlines.
You will define technical solutions for dealing with deviations encountered in design and production, carry out root cause analyses for technical failures, and draw up technical action plans for dealing with them.
You will participate in drawing up the multi-year R&D program in line with the strategic plan, and ensure the deployment and progress of the part for which you are responsible.
Your role is crucial in transmitting your knowledge within the company, to ensure the continuity of our knowledge and the development of our teams' skills. As such, you will be required to lead internal and/or external training courses and conferences. You will also contribute to the development of methodologies and technical developments in your area(s) of expertise.
