To support the growth of our engineering projects for the nuclear industry, we are recruiting a Mechanical Calculations Design Engineer.

Reporting to the Technical Department and the Pressure Equipment and Regulations Division, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be involved in complex mechanical equipment design projects for the nuclear industry and will carry out various mechanical, thermomechanical (and possibly thermohydraulic) studies in collaboration with other teams or departments within the Technical Department at Onet Technologies.

In this context, your main tasks will be as follows:
- Participate in all phases of a project's life cycle, from the tendering phase, studies (feasibility, preliminary design, detailed design, final design, etc.), implementation (consultations, contracting, implementation, assembly), factory testing, and on-site commissioning (assembly and testing).
- Participate in the design of various systems and equipment in collaboration with the project team and other design offices in the Technical Department
- Analyze the input data for a tender, project, or deal, and define and justify calculation assumptions based on the life cycle of the equipment in accordance with nuclear standards
-Perform mechanical dimensioning calculations (using finite elements and analytics) in accordance with nuclear standards
-Produce technical sections within your area of expertise, strictly adhering to the technical scope
-Draft specifications, consult suppliers, and analyze bids received
- Participate in the technical verification of deliverables produced within your area of expertise
- Participate in and/or lead internal technical meetings and/or meetings with customers and/or subcontractors/suppliers

- Anticipate and identify potential technical, cost, and scheduling issues and suggest areas for improvement

Your assets

Higher technical education (engineering school or university equivalent) in mechanics, numerical simulation, ideally with a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in mechanical calculation within a design office in the nuclear field.

Proficiency in ANSYS numerical simulation software (Mechanical using APDL or Workbench) is essential. Knowledge of the following software would be an advantage: SYSTUS, PIPESTRESS, ANSYS CFX, or FLUENT.

You have solid experience in nuclear equipment, particularly pressure equipment.

Knowledge of the following codes and standards is a real plus to help you settle into the job: RCC-M, Eurocodes, 13480, 13445, FEM, ASME.
