Your mission

To support the growth of our engineering projects in the nuclear industry, we are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer.

You will work on projects for major clients in the nuclear industry to develop specialized mechanical equipment for testing, handling, maintenance, repair, and operation of nuclear facilities (both domestically and internationally).

You will be required to use innovative, highly technical resources such as remote-controlled equipment, mechatronics, robotics and special machines in highly constrained (submerged, highly radiated) or even extreme environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • You will be involved in every stage of a project’s lifecycle, from the bidding phase, through design (feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design, construction drawings, etc.), to implementation (consultations, contract negotiations, construction, and assembly), factory testing, and on-site commissioning (installation and testing).
  • You will help design a variety of systems and equipment in collaboration with the project team and multidisciplinary teams within the technical department
  • You identify and define technical solutions
  • You oversee the subcontractors
  • You will participate in factory and on-site testing
  • You should notify your manager of any deviations or potential deviations from the established objectives
  • You adhere to and implement the applicable guidelines, procedures, and standards.
Your assets

You hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering (from an engineering school or equivalent university program) and have at least two years of experience in the field of custom machinery.

You are proficient in technical writing and in using SolidWorks and/or CATIA V5 software.

You enjoy working as part of a team and are known for your dedication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

You have a good level of reading, writing and speaking English.

Knowledge of the following codes and standards is a real plus to help you get started: RCC-M, RCC-MRx Eurocodes (optional).

Position based in Lyon or Marseille.

This position may be subject to administrative investigation.
