In order to strengthen its teams at the Onet Group headquarters in Marseille, Onet Technologies is recruiting a Technical Welding Advisor (M/F).
Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will provide technical support for projects involving R&D and welding engineering activities.
As Technical Advisor, you will play a leading role in the welding field throughout the entire project, from the tendering phase to industrial deployment on site. You will play a central role in defining or securing technical choices, disseminating best practices, and supporting teams.
Technical leadership and expertise advisor
- Act as technical leader in welding for project teams, design offices, and operational teams
- Define, validate, and defend technical choices and welding processes, ensuring their compliance with regulatory, normative, and contractual requirements
- Be the internal expert for complex welding issues, particularly in regulated contexts (ESP, ESPN, lifting, and handling)
- Contribute to the harmonization of welding practices and the capitalization of feedback
- Contribute to the definition of technical and innovation guidelines in welding
Engineering and management of welding projects
- Participate in tender reviews, analyze technical and regulatory requirements, draft technical bids, and prepare cost estimates for welding lots
- Assume technical responsibility and management of high value-added welding project lots
- Participate in design reviews and technical file reviews
Development, R&D, and industrialization
- Conduct and/or oversee technical and supporting studies related to the choice of welding solutions and their implementation on site (specific tools, operating procedures, special processes)
- Oversee the design and development phases of special welding machines, as well as their industrialization for specific applications
- Be involved in all activities related to the development of mechanized welding processes within the framework of industrial or R&D projects
Qualification, deployment, and skills development
- Overseeing the preparation and testing of QMOS and QS/QOS deemed complex
- Support the initial industrial deployment of welding processes and equipment on site
- Train and support intervention personnel in the use of the equipment and processes developed, with a view to transferring skills
- Ensure compliance with qualification files and participate in the continuous improvement of operational processes
Technical monitoring and representation
- Ensuring technical, regulatory, and standards monitoring for welding processes
- Representing Onet Technologies within AFCEN and AFNOR working groups and other standardization committees.
You have a master's degree with a specialization in welding, are IWE certified, and have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the civil nuclear or defense industry.
You have a solid understanding of the technical standards applicable to pipe and boiler manufacturing, in particular the RCC-M, RSE-M, and RCC-MRx codes, as well as EN ISO 13445, EN ISO 13480, and the associated harmonized standards.
Recognized for your technical expertise in welding, you demonstrate excellent analytical and synthesis skills, combined with very good writing abilities.
Your rigor, independence, and versatility enable you to effectively manage several projects simultaneously, while serving as a technical advisor to project and operational teams.
With strong interpersonal skills, you are comfortable working in collaborative and cross-functional environments, interacting with a variety of internal and external contacts.
A good level of English is required in order to write technical documents and communicate with customers or suppliers, in a context that may include occasional travel in France and abroad.
