Reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board Onet, the Secretary General is responsible for ensuring the consistency, security, and smooth running of the company across the areas entrusted to him/her. He/She ensures the progress and coordination of the Group's structural projects. He/She strengthens the governance of the Onet Group. In this capacity, he/she is responsible for/oversees and manages the following departments:
- Legal and compliance
- Audit and risk management
- Security
- Insurance
The Secretary General performs a cross-functional role of leadership, supervision, and advice in the following areas:
1. Coordination and monitoring of structural projects and institutional affairs
Ensuring coordination between the Presidency, the Executive Committee, and operational departments, establishing the necessary governance, and ensuring the proper functioning of dedicated bodies.
Preparation and coordination of strategic files and structuring of activities in France and internationally.
Manage institutional relations and the Group's positioning with public authorities and national and international institutions.
2. Legal Affairs, Compliance, and Ethics
Define the Group's legal strategy, anticipate opportunities and risks for our businesses and markets, and secure the Group's activities.
Oversee the Group Legal and Compliance Department, whose responsibilities include corporate and M&A, litigation, contract law, intellectual property, and compliance, as well as monitoring legal developments outside the areas of tax and labor law.
Ensure compliance and integrity of activities, ensure risk prevention.
Implement ethics and governance policies by establishing compliance processes that are closely aligned with operations.
Provide support to the Group's BU directors in their legal matters.
3. Internal audit, control, and risk management
Oversee internal audit and risk management functions.
Ensure robust internal control systems are in place to prevent fraud, errors, and inefficiencies. Ensure that audit findings are taken into account and incorporated into risk mitigation strategies.
Establish and update a risk map.
Ensure the reliability of procedures, control of operational risks, and compliance with practices.
Implement business continuity plans.
4. Safety, security, and resilience
Overseeing the Group's overall safety strategy.
Coordinating crisis response, business continuity, and major incident management.
Overseeing cybersecurity measures in conjunction with the Information Systems Department.
5. Insurance
Manage insurance and risk coverage programs, ensuring economic interests are protected.
You have at least 15 years' experience in senior management, legal, institutional, or governance roles, ideally acquired within an international group.
Excellent command of the legal, financial, regulatory, and risk management issues of a large group, as well as the management of the legal structuring of major projects.
Strong skills in team organization and coordination/management.
Proven leadership, strategic vision, and strong collaborative skills.
Rigorousness, integrity, discretion, and a keen sense of confidentiality.
Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); a third language would be an asset.
