The Radiation Protection Technician ensures radiological monitoring of the perimeter (team and worksite) for which he/she is responsible.
Based as close as possible to CEA's Marcoule facilities, reporting to the Radiation Protection Operations Manager at the Marcoule agency, and working in liaison with the site's CRP.
The missions will be as follows:
- Radiation protection management of the perimeter: documentary and operational monitoring
- Radiation protection prevention within the defined scope of action
- Suggest areas for improvement in the application of various measures to guarantee personnel safety during operations.
- Reminder of the site's rules and developments in radiation protection to workers through talks
- In liaison with line management, proposes corrective action in the event of non-compliance with rules.
- Contamination and irradiation radiology/mapping
- Use of specific radiation protection equipment
- Checking that radiation protection equipment in the perimeter is working properly, and follow-up.
- Installation of atmospheric monitoring equipment on worksites
- Daily checks of personnel and waste handling areas
- Regular exchanges with the site CRP and line management
- Feedback, hazards, events
- Manage events and hazards in liaison with line management.
Ideally, holder of a BAC to BAC+2 specialized in radiation protection or from PNR training with a first significant experience in a similar position.
You are known for your ability to communicate effectively and for your intellectual curiosity.
This position requires rigor, a questioning attitude, team spirit and the ability to work independently.
