Solidarity and Housing Day 2024 a not-to-be-missed event for Onet employees
Since its creation in 2010, the Onet Foundation has been actively involved in the fight against inadequate housing and precarious living conditions.
Every year, through its flagship event, Solidarity and Housing Day, it mobilizes Onet Group employees to provide concrete help to people in precarious situations.
On September 20, 2024, the teams of volunteer employees once again came together for this day dedicated to solidarity. Their mission? To meet the needs of associations by carrying out small-scale renovation and beautification work in their facilities. Thanks to their mobilization, nearly 5,000 people in precarious situations were able to benefit from these interventions: painting walls, professional cleaning of premises, assembling furniture, creating vegetable gardens, sorting donations...

Each project is carried out with a real spirit of sharing, where mutual aid is the key to success. AIRES is an association that works to encourage and promote social inclusion - residential, relational and economic - through innovative models based on respect for people's self-determination, thus facilitating the reconstruction of their life project, while defending the right to dignified housing. Our Spanish teams have restored 4 of the association's apartments.
Red Acoge is a federation of Spanish associations founded in 1991, dedicated to defending the rights of migrants, refugees and socially excluded people. Through its network of local associations, it plays a key role in promoting human rights and equal opportunities in Spain. Our teams worked on the renovation of one of the association's homes and premises.
Doutores da Alegria is a Brazilian association founded in 1991 which trains professional clowns to work in hospitals with sick children. Onet Brazil has been sponsoring this association for over 5 years, through several projects. Our Brazilian teams have renovated one of the premises used by the association's volunteer artists.
Fondation Maison de la Porte Ouverte is a Luxembourg association founded in 1966, dedicated to the protection of women, children and families in vulnerable situations. It offers a wide range of services, including emergency shelter, psychosocial support and legal advice. Our Luxembourg teams have carried out window cleaning, green space maintenance and outdoor cleaning operations.
Association DAR LEKBIRA in Kenitra (Morocco)
The aim of this NGO is to help children in distress. The name "Dar Lekbira" is inspired by the traditions of Moroccan society, and means the house where the generosity of the owner is known to all, and where you can eat, sleep and stay as much as you need. Our Moroccan teams have renovated the association's reception and listening rooms.
