Onet takes part in the Businesses for Climate Convention

Faced with the pressing challenges of exceeding planetary limits, the Business Climate Convention (BCC ) has emerged in 2021 as an innovative initiative, dedicated to mobilizing economic decision-makers to rethink the way they approach the economy and environmental preservation.

From January to October 2023, Onet will be working with the Provence-Corsica branch of the first national CEC program.

The Business for Climate Convention

CEC's aim is to help companies reintegrate their economic activities within the limits of the planet. To achieve this, it mobilizes all sectors of the local economy to act collectively and cooperatively.

CEC was born out of the conviction that company directors needed to have a sufficiently detailed understanding of the environmental emergency and its impact on their business - as well as on their local area and those close to them - to take the right level of action, if possible collectively.

Businesses and economic decision-makers thus have a crucial role to play in the transition.

CEC takes a pragmatic, fact-based approach to mobilizing companies and executives. It speaks to them in their own language, that of facts, figures and economic perspectives. It's an immersive approach designed to create an environment conducive to reflection and creativity. Participants who are invited to rethink their business model can discover new economic opportunities, as beneficial for their business as for the planet.

Onet, a company committed to the ecological transition, plays an essential role in the CEC.

Onet is part of a delegation of nearly 70 companies, of all sizes and sectors, from Provence and Corsica.

From January to October 2023, these business leaders took part in regular one-and-a-half-day sessions to build up their skills on the subject: outside speakers who were experts in various fields, small peer working groups, and more introspective sessions gradually led them to refine the ideas that make up the roadmap that aims to change their business model by 2030.

Onet's participation in this Convention reflects its commitment to sustainable activities that make a significant contribution to climate and biodiversity efforts. As an active member of the CEC, the Group is committed to exploring innovative solutions to reduce its carbon footprint, ease its pressure on planetary limits and support the convention's objectives of mobilizing the entire French economy in this common cause.
