Onet says CAP to disability during an awareness day

"Ensemble, on dit cap" is the name given by Onet to the day organized at its head office to raise awareness of disability, the situation of disabled workers and their inclusion within companies.

The first in what the group hopes will be a long series, "Ensemble on dit cap" is the logical continuation of the Breakfast solidaires that the group organized in 2016 to set up an Onet Disability Plan Horizon 2020.

More than 300 proposals emerged from these breakfasts and helped define a plan based on three fundamental principles:

  • human capital, with the integration of disabled people into the company, training managers in disability management, etc;
  • responsible partnerships with partners and suppliers to develop the Group's responsible purchasing, referencing of new recruitment sources, provision of disabled workers by temporary employment partners, etc;
  • and finally, raising customer awareness by promoting the dynamic social offer throughout the Group and communicating with customers to involve them in Onet's commitments.

In this way, Onet was once again able to give concrete expression to its commitments during this awareness-raising day, in particular by enabling its employees to gain a better understanding of the problems faced by disabled workers.

A workshop based on Keski's "Chaussez 20 handicaps" teaching tool - using accessories that reproduce the sensations of certain disabilities - enabled employees to put themselves in real-life disability situations, as experienced by some of their colleagues on a daily basis, to gain a better understanding of the problems they face and the solutions they can provide.

"With this event, we don't just want to highlight the situation of disabled workers for one day, but we also want to raise awareness among all our employees, customers and partners. We want to show what solutions are available to disabled workers, so as to include them in the best possible way, and over the long term, within our companies."says Emilie de Lombarès, Chairman of the Board Onet.

"Understanding is the key to solving the problems faced by disabled workers,which is why we want to enable our employees to experience the constraints of disability through workshops," she continues.

At the end of the day, Onet was also delighted to welcome the association "Comme les autres" ( https://www.commelesautres-asso.org/), which inaugurated its PACA branch (the 3rd of its kind).

An evening of exchange, to continue to say "Cap", in the presence of Jonathan Jérémiasz ( https://fr.linkedin.com/in/jonathanjeremiasz ), President of this association which supports people who have become disabled as a result of an accident.
