Onet congratulates Fabrice Amedeo on being awarded theOrdre National du Mérite

The yachtsman has just completed his second round-the-world voyage for the preservation of the oceans. His efforts have been recognized by a national award and supported by the Onet Group.

A lasting partnership for the benefit of the environment

Since 2019, Onet has been supporting Fabrice Amedeo in a project that combines sporting performance and scientific commitment. With #OceanCalling, the skipper integrates environmental sensors on board his Imoca into each of his races, to collect essential data on the quality of the oceans.

This project took on a new dimension during the Vendée Globe 2024-2025, which Fabrice Amedeo completed after 114 days sailing around the globe. A performance coupled with a commitment: to complete this circumnavigation without using any fossil fuels, demonstrating the feasibility of a more sustainable model in ocean racing.

Concrete actions and shared values

The partnership between Onet and Fabrice Amedeo has for many years been reflected in visible actions: participation in the starting village of the Transat Jacques Vabre, conferences, raising awareness of ocean issues and internal relays to Group employees. These initiatives reinforce the Onet Group's CSR approach, which places ecological transition at the heart of its priorities.

Recognition of this commitment by the French government, with the award of the Ordre National du Mérite by Christophe Béchu, Fabrice's boat sponsor and former Minister of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, gives national resonance to a project that the Onet Group is proud to support.

Pursuing a dynamic of commitment

Fabrice Amedeo embodies a model of surpassing oneself in the service of research and the environment. By supporting this type of initiative, Onet continues to promote meaningful partnerships, in line with its CSR policy.
