How is Onet helping to reduce the use of plastics?

Muriel Duguay, CSR Project Manager at Onet, spoke at the World Conservation Congress of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Invited to take part in the round table "From science to action: innovative solutions to combat plastic pollution of the oceans", she presented Biogistic, our ecological, responsible and high-performance cleaning solution .

The session focused on engaging key stakeholders along the plastics value chain to co-generate interventions to tackle plastic pollution, and to present ideas that could inspire others to take similar action.

With regard to reduction at source, Onet presented the circular economy approach used to reduce our use of plastic in our cleaning services.

Muriel Duguay explained how Onet has developed an ecological cleaning solution: Biogistic, which reduces our plastic consumption by reusing and recycling plastic containers and adapting the content, as well as the entire supply chain.

In addition to Onet's presentation, the session highlighted the results and lessons learned from the IUCN and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP ) national guide on plastic pollution, as well as the solutions developed by Plastic Odyssey Expedition (Simon Bernard, co-founder), Veolia (Gilles Baratto, Director of Engineering and Technical Support for Development at Veolia Water) and Beyond Plastic Med (Lucile Courtial, Beyond BeMed Executive Secretary).
