We are recruiting a :
IWT welding coordinator F/H
Your main missions will involve both operational and technical management.
From an operational point of view :
- Participate in the development phases of welding procedures (R&D or project welding operating procedures)
Participate in the preparation and supervision of Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) and Welder Qualification (WQ) tests.
Participate in qualifications management (QMOS and QS) in line with internal needs.
- Perform in-process inspection activities in the workshop, on-site, or at subcontractors' premises.
- Ensure design conformity for welded assemblies (design reviews, plan and isometric reviews, etc.).
- Define welding inspection methodologies
- Contribute to the operational training of welders
Contribute to the efficient management of consumables
From a technical point of view :
Participate in tender reviews by analyzing the technical and regulatory requirements related to welded assemblies.
- Prepare technical execution documents for construction sites and projects (welding specifications and procedures)
- Verify the technical competencies of execution personnel and ensure the application of best practices in welding (on-site, in the workshop, or at subcontractors, as applicable)
- Assist operational personnel on-site (construction site), in workshops, or at subcontractors' premises regarding welding and related technical issues.
You are also responsible for ensuring the correct interpretation of codes, standards, regulations and customer technical specifications, in particular for the use of welding in regulated contexts (ESP, ESPN, construction products, transport pipes, etc.).
You will carry out audit and expert appraisal assignments within a business unit and/or with subcontractors.
The position requires frequent travel, of varying lengths, in France and abroad.
You are recognized for your writing skills, your versatility as well as your interpersonal skills and your ability to analyze and summarize.
You have between 2 and 5 years' higher education and are IWT and/or IWE certified. You now have solid experience in field coordination/inspection, ideally in the nuclear sector.
You master :
- Technical standards related to piping and boiler-making fabrication (RCC-M, RSE-M, RCC-MRx, EN ISO 13445, EN ISO 13480, ASME codes)
- Standards related to welding, and the supply of filler and base materials
- Welding processes
- Welding metallurgy
