To support the growth of our engineering projects for the nuclear industry, we are recruiting a thermal-hydraulic design engineer f/h.
Reporting to the "Calculations" Unit Manager, you will work on complex thermal and mechanical equipment design projects for the nuclear industry, and carry out various thermal, hydraulic and thermo-hydraulic (and possibly mechanical) studies in collaboration with other teams or departments in the Onet Technologies technical department.
In this context, your main tasks will be as follows:
- Participate in all phases of a project, from the tender phase, studies (feasibility, APS, APD, EXE...) to implementation (consultations, contracting, construction, assembly), factory tests, on-site commissioning (assembly and tests).
- Participate in the design of various systems and equipment in collaboration with the project team and other Technical Department design offices.
- Analyze input data for a call for tenders, a project or a project, and define and justify calculation hypotheses based on equipment life phases, in line with nuclear standards.
- Carry out calculations (finite element and analytical) for thermal-hydraulic (and possibly mechanical) dimensioning in accordance with nuclear standards.
- Produce technical parts within its area of competence and scrupulously respecting the technical perimeter
- Draft specifications, consult suppliers and analyze bids received
- Participate in the technical verification of deliverables produced in its area of expertise
- Participate in and/or lead internal and/or customer and/or subcontractor-supplier technical meetings
- Anticipate and identify potential technical, cost and scheduling problems, and suggest areas for improvement.
5 years' higher technical education (engineering school or university equivalent) in fluid mechanics, thermal-hydraulics and numerical simulation, ideally with a minimum of 5 years' experience in thermal-hydraulic calculations in a nuclear design office.
A basic knowledge of mechanics would be a real plus.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following software packages: Aspen EDR, EchTherm, HTRI
- Knowledge of ANSYS CFD software (CFX or Fluent)
Ideally, you will have initial experience in the following areas:
- Thermal-hydraulic (and possibly mechanical) design and sizing of heat transfer equipment
- Numerical simulation calculations CFD
You therefore have solid experience in nuclear equipment, particularly under pressure.
