We are recruiting to strengthen our teams at the Onet Group headquarters in Marseille:
Welding Engineer IWE M/F
Reporting to the Technical Implementation Unit Manager in the Technical Department, you will provide technical support for projects involving R&D and welding engineering activities, from the request for quotation to the initial deployment of the qualified process on site.
In collaboration with project managers, technical architects, and business experts, you will perform the following tasks:
You will participate in the tender review process by analyzing the technical and regulatory requirements relating to welding activities, drafting technical bids, and preparing cost estimates for welding lots.
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a project batch relating to welding, as well as ensuring the conformity of the design relating to welded assemblies (design reviews, review of plans and isometric drawings, etc.).
You will carry out technical and supporting studies relating to the choice of technical welding solutions and their implementation on site (special tools and operating procedures), oversee the design phases for special welding machines, and ensure their industrialization for a given application.
You manage the development phases of welding operating procedures (R&D activities or projects).
You prepare, plan, and supervise QMOS and QS tests and participate in managing qualifications in line with internal needs.
You will be required to train intervention personnel in the use of the machines developed and their initial deployment on site.
You will also be able to participate in technical and regulatory monitoring, with the opportunity to join various AFCEN working groups and AFNOR standardization groups.
You are responsible for ensuring the correct interpretation of codes, standards, regulations, and customer technical specifications, particularly those relating to the use of welding in regulated contexts (ESP, ESPN, handling, and lifting).
Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. You will also be required to write and converse in English with certain clients/suppliers.
You are recognized for your expertise in welding, your analytical and synthesis skills, and your writing abilities.
Versatile and thorough, you can easily handle several projects at the same time. Your interpersonal skills allow you to quickly get to know the people you work with.
A good level of English is required.
You have a master's degree and specialize in welding with IWE certification. You have at least 6 years' experience in a similar position with practical experience of technical standards relating to pipe manufacturing and boiler making (RCC-M, RSE-M, RCC-MRx, EN ISO 13445, EN ISO 13480 and harmonized standards).
