Job Opening: Temporary Protective Covering Installer – Shipbuilding Industry (M/F), Permanent Position, Loire-Atlantique (44)

As part of our operations in the shipbuilding sector, we are hiring a Temporary Protective Covering Installer to work at our shipyards in Saint-Nazaire.

Your responsibilities

As a member of the construction team, your responsibilities will include:

Install and remove the temporary protective measures required for the various phases of the construction project;
Protect floors, walls, equipment, openings, and sensitive areas;
Set up tarps, plastic sheeting, panels, partitions, and other appropriate protective measures;
Ensure that they are securely fastened, properly supported, and, when necessary, sealed;
Regularly check the condition of the installed protective devices and take action if necessary;
Comply with and ensure compliance with the safety guidelines and preventive measures applicable on the job site;
Clean, put away, and maintain the equipment used so that it remains in good condition;
Help ensure that interventions are properly organized and that the team’s activities are coordinated, in accordance with the level of responsibility assigned.

Your profile

Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, the shipbuilding industry, or construction site safety is preferred.

To succeed in this role, you are:

Comfortable with hands-on activities;
Thorough and meticulous in carrying out your tasks;
Attentive to compliance with procedures and safety rules;
Comfortable working as part of a team;
Able to perform the physical tasks associated with the job duties.
A Class B driver's license is required, as travel is necessary as part of the job.

Knowledge of materials and temporary protective solutions (tarps, films, panels, partitions, floor and surface protectors, etc.) would be a plus.

Job conditions

Contract: Permanent contract (CDI)
Work schedule: Full-time
Location: Saint-Nazaire (44)
Start date: As soon as possible
Collective bargaining agreement classification:CE1 or CE2, depending on the duties and level of responsibility assigned
Compensation: €14.43 to €15.27 gross per hour, depending on the collective bargaining agreement classification applicable to the position (CE1 or CE2)
