Culture & Heritage,
a sector with demanding event challenges

In France, the events sector represents 455,000 direct and indirect jobs and generates nearly 65 billion euros in sales per year. The cultural and heritage sector is characterized by high stakes: strengthening the customer's brand image, protecting works of art and ensuring a successful visitor experience.

Against this backdrop, how can we respond effectively to customer challenges?

A pleasant human contact, a smooth welcome, clean premises, a feeling of security: all these factors contribute to a successful experience for visitors and a positive brand image for our customers in the cultural sector.

To achieve this goal, efficiency, discretion and adaptability are essential. Experts in event management for 30 years, we offer tailor-made solutions in security, cleanliness and hospitality. Onet has chosen to operate its own solutions to guarantee the quality of its interventions.

Safety in the heritage sector,
a dual challenge

When it comes to security, the level of vigilance is heightened because, for our customers, the stakes are twofold. It's a question of protecting people, but also works of art, whose material and immaterial value is priceless.

To ensure a high-performance system, human and electronic security are used in tandem. This dual system offers a response adapted to the specific constraints of ERP (establishments open to the public).

Some of our customers, like the Centre Pompidou for example, receive over 3 million visitors a year.

a daily challenge

Designed by the architectural duo Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, the Centre Pompidou houses Europe's1st collection of modern and contemporary art. The 10-storey, 7,500 m2 building welcomes 3 million visitors a year.

Since 2019, Onet has been securing several Centre Pompidou sites by mobilizing 35 to 60 security and SSIAP agents to complement the in-house teams of the Building and Security Department.

Every day, a dozen Onet security guards provide screening and surveillance at strategic points in the building:

  • Musée national d'art moderne
  • the Kandinsky library,
  • the Public Information Library,
  •  Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique, Ircam,
  • the Brancusi studio,
  • Restaurant Georges.

During exhibition set-up, the security force can be doubled, with up to 8 additional agents on hand to carry out screening tasks.

Our security mission doesn't stop there: our teams also work behind the scenes, in the Centre Pompidou's storage warehouse.

Safeguarding works of art
at the center Pompidou's conservation warehouse

Some of the 140,000 works in the Pompidou collection are stored in a dedicated warehouse. In this warehouse, fire prevention is of paramount importance.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, fire safety is ensured by 17 SSIAP (fire safety and personal assistance service) operatives, who make preventive rounds to monitor building safety, check temperatures and maintain equipment and emergency access.

This exceptional system is complemented by 10 security guards who provide screening and surveillance, particularly during the reception of works of art.

Calling on Onet Security is a guarantee of seriousness and reliability. It's the assurance that services will be carried out properly and will last over time. On a day-to-day basis, Onet's management team is highly responsive to changes in the services and solutions offered.

Musée des Confluences in Lyon
combining human and technological resources for effective electronic security

At the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, the Musée des Confluences, designed by Austrian agency Coop Himmelb(l)au, brings together 3.5 million objects in storage relating to the natural, human or technical sciences, and 3,000 works on display.

To watch over such a substantial collection, our agents use electronic security to ensure the close protection of the works.

The aim is to limit the proximity between visitors and the museum's collections, without installing physical barriers. If the boundaries are crossed, an infrared laser detects it, an audible signal sounds and security guards are alerted.

The Onet Group installs and maintains this solution.

Cleanliness, a performance issue
in the event industry

In buildings with a large flow of visitors, discretion and high standards are essential. Cleanliness of the premises, with several passes a day if necessary, and discretion, because the visitor's path must not be disturbed.

By offering a quality service, our agents have the power to reinforce our customers' positive image . For them, our day-to-day operations are a source of performance.

To go one step further and meet CSR challenges, we have implemented a biotechnological cleaning solution, Biogistic®, which uses eco-labelled products and represents a tailor-made response to our customers' environmental concerns. Among others, we use it at the Mémorial de Caen, a long-standing customer in the cultural sector.

Cleaning up and protecting the memory of the 20th century

The Memorial is dedicated to 3 areas of 20th-century history: the Second World War, the D-Day landings in June 1944 and the Battle of Normandy.

For its cleaning services, Le Mémorial has relied on Onet since it opened in 1988.

Today, our 10 agents work 7 days a week to refurbish the visitors' route and provide cleaning services throughout the day, using Biogistic products in particular.

At the same time, a special system is put in place every year, with the dusting of aircraft during the annual shutdown.

Cosquer Méditerranée, Lascaux IV Preserving the masterpieces of cave art

Fragile or inaccessible decorated caves can now be visited thanks to faithful replicas open to the general public. Such is the case with Lascaux IV in Montignac and Cosquer Méditerranée, the reconstruction of the Cosquer Cave in Marseille.

Our operatives provide a wide range of cleaning services in public reception areas, as well as in conference rooms, auditoriums and staff areas. In Marseille, our team of rope access technicians also cleans glass throughout the building.

Glazing is also at the heart of the services provided by our teams at La Cité de la Mer.

La Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg
Historical and customized services for a unique place

Located in the heart of the former Gare Maritime Transatlantique, the Cité de la Mer is a tourist and cultural site with several themed attractions: the "Ocean of the Future" tour, with its 17 aquariums including the 350,000-liter Abyssal Aquarium (the deepest in Europe), a maritime museum, the nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine Le Redoutable, the Grande Galerie des Engins et des hommes, and an immersive space dedicated to the Titanic.

Here too, Onet has been working alongside its customer since the site opened in 2002. Our 8 agents clean the windows of the aquariums and the Cité, as well as the windows of the submarine and the visitor path inside the Redoutable .

Our teams also carry out the annual dusting of the exhibition submarines, LE BATHYSCAPHE ARCHIMEDE, LE CYANA, LE NAUTILE, GLOBULE, DEEPSEA CHALLENGER... LE COMEX located in the large Reception Nave.

Reception, an indispensable link
between the public and the collections

Hosts and hostesses welcome and guide visitors, but their mission doesn't stop there. They embody the customer's values, speak on his behalf and carry his voice. Reception is an indispensable link in the event chain.

Between education and cultural action, the hosts and hostesses welcome and inform visitors and manage the ticket office. They also welcome and assist people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

To carry out all these missions successfully, our agents receive specific training on a range of topics: service attitude, discretion, responsiveness, foreign language skills...

In line with the Group's CSR policy, the initial and ongoing training of our employees is a priority. This enables us to offer our customers a pool of skilled, regularly-trained staff of sufficient size to meet their needs.

A reception system focused on versatility
at the Mougins Museum of Classical Art

In the heart of the village of Mougins, where Pablo Picasso spent the last 12 years of his life, the Musée d'Art Classique explores the relationship between ancient, modern and contemporary art.

Two Onet hostesses are on hand every day to take care of a wide range of tasks. They welcome visitors in French and English, provide them with all the information they need for their visit to the museum, and handle telephone inquiries and ticket sales.

They also relay information to the security guard on duty. In fact, the museum has a multi-skilled offer covering reception, security and cleaning.
