: Philippe Arnaud and his team successfully complete three ascents of Mont Ventoux

A sporting and personal journey brought to a successful conclusion
After several months of preparation, Philippe Arnaud and his team set out at 7 a.m. to tackle the Giant of Provence, with an ambitious goal: to conquer the three iconic slopes of Mont Ventoux, passing successively through Bédoin, Malaucène, and Sault.
In total, the participants covered 138 kilometers and climbed more than 4,400 meters in elevation gain under particularly challenging conditions. It was an intense day, during which everyone had to draw on their physical and mental reserves to reach the summit three times.
For David Danis, a member of the team, this challenge was the culmination of a long journey:
A year to prepare, to build up my physical and mental strength, in order to take on a challenge that was far from ordinary. This Pentecost Sunday, I pushed myself beyond my limits, but I wasn’t alone: I was carried by the group, by that collective energy, and by that deep desire to go further, to prove to myself that it was possible.
Beyond the athletic performance, this adventure was marked above all by the solidarity and team spirit that drove the group throughout the journey.
Philippe Arnaud would like to commend his teammates’ dedication:
I’d like to congratulate my dream team: David Danis, David Sanchez, Philippe Hermet, and Romain Lessard—not to mention Amaury Danis, who successfully completed his first climb with flying colors.
A team dedicated to a vital cause
Behind this athletic challenge lay, above all, a commitment to solidarity: to support MARAdJA, an organization affiliated with the Bordeaux University Hospital that provides support to teenagers and young adults with cancer.
In addition to medical care, MARAdJA provides support in key areas of the care continuum: psychological counseling, academic support, sports activities, social services, and programs designed to promote the well-being of young patients.
Through this initiative, Philippe Arnaud and his team sought to highlight the work carried out by this organization and help raise funds for the development of its projects.
A campaign that continues
Inspired by the collective momentum generated by this challenge, the team is committed to continuing its efforts.
A sale of eco-friendly water bottles, made from recycled cycling water bottles, as well as a raffle, are currently being held to benefit MARAdJA. The funds raised will be used to purchase equipment for physical activities and to help set up a relaxation area for the young people supported by the organization.
Supported by the Onet Let’s Go Sports Grant, this project fully embodies the Onet Group’s commitment to supporting initiatives that use sports to foster engagement and solidarity.
By combining athletic challenge, team spirit, and a charitable cause, Philippe Arnaud, David Danis, David Sanchez, Philippe Hermet, Romain Lessard, and Amaury Danis demonstrate that sports are a powerful force for fostering unity and commitment to meaningful causes.
