To mark World Youth Skills Day, Onet is featuring former work-study program participants who are now continuing their careers within the Group.
What do they have in common? They started with a work-study program, developed their skills on the job, gained independence and confidence, and then joined Onet as employees.

Carlos Alvarez Muñoz: Learning at the Heart of Future-Oriented Careers
Engineering, nuclear energy, the green transition… During his work-study program, Carlos was able to gain experience at the heart of strategic sectors, while receiving support as he developed his skills.

Anais Pace: Building a Long-Term Career Path
After completing her work-study program, Anais initially continued with the company on a fixed-term contract before joining the team permanently on a permanent contract. Her journey illustrates how commitment, perseverance, and support can open up new opportunities.
After the position was approved as a permanent contract and with my manager’s support for continuing our collaboration, a follow-up discussion confirmed that I could join the team on a long-term basis.
I felt both relief and a great sense of satisfaction. My work-study program required a significant personal investment, and after making several strategic choices along the way, it was very reassuring to see that they were paying off.
This marked the culmination of my career change. It was a major milestone and the realization of my career goals. This opportunity also gave me a sense of stability that now allows me to plan for the long term.
I don’t have a typical day, and that’s exactly what makes my job so rewarding.
In addition, the Group offers opportunities for career mobility, which is a real advantage for building a long-term career.
That said, the learning never stops: we continue to grow and learn every day.
The transition went smoothly since I stayed in the same department. By the end of my work-study program, I had already begun to expand my scope of work. The main changes were the evolution of my tasks and responsibilities, as well as a change in managers.
My career path shows that opportunities do exist and that they can reward dedication and perseverance. When you commit yourself and prove your worth, real opportunities can open up within the Group, allowing you to build a long-term career.
Birhat Aksu: From Alternation to Gradual Evolution
For Birhat, the work-study program was a key step in getting to know the company, developing his skills, and envisioning a long-term future within the Group.
Beyond this experience, it was also the company’s values, its commitments, and its long-term vision that won me over. I wanted to build a future with a company that invests in its employees and gives them the opportunity to grow. So continuing my career at Onet was a natural choice, driven by my desire to keep learning, growing, and contributing to the company’s projects.
The knowledge I gained during that time made this transition feel more natural and gradual. This change strengthened my sense of belonging to the company and my motivation to continue my professional development while contributing to its projects and growth.
My work-study program allowed me to develop both my technical and interpersonal skills. Beyond the knowledge related to my profession, I learned how to collaborate with different people, manage my priorities, become more independent, and adapt to a variety of environments and challenges. This experience also helped me gain confidence, develop a sense of responsibility, and gain a broader perspective on the company’s challenges.
Over time, my assignments have grown in scope and responsibility. Whereas I was mainly focused on learning and gaining experience during my work-study program, I now approach the projects I lead with greater autonomy and a broader perspective. This evolution reflects the trust my managers have placed in me and the opportunities for growth offered at Onet.
Lili Houde: A Natural Transition to a Permanent Contract
For Lili, the transition from her work-study program to her role as an associate was a gradual one, building on her integration into the team and the projects she worked on during her work-study program.
Since my skills and interests aligned with the department’s needs, and my transition into the role had gone smoothly, the job offer came about quite naturally and gradually.
I was very happy to see that they trusted me and wanted to keep me on the team. It also reassured me to be able to start my career in a department where I felt comfortable and was already familiar with the work environment.
It was both a source of pride and a relief. I was proud to have found a job I enjoyed right after graduating, and relieved to know that I had earned my department’s trust enough to be hired.
I chose to stay because it’s a dynamic company with many projects. This allows me to learn continuously and participate in initiatives aimed at improving and evolving the way we work.
I took on more tasks and responsibilities, particularly those that had previously been limited by the time I spent in school as part of my work-study program. However, my work style hasn’t changed much, since I was already well integrated into the team and the projects.
It happened quite naturally. I didn't really feel any break between the end of my work-study program and the start of my job, because I continued working on the same topics, with just a few new responsibilities that were gradually added.
My experience shows that the company values work-study programs and can offer real opportunities for growth to work-study students. When a work-study student is committed to their assignments and integrates well into the team, this can lead to concrete prospects for hiring and professional development within the company.
Clément Cooper: A Springboard for the Growth of the Events Industry
After two years in a work-study program, Clément continued his career at Onet on a permanent contract. In his testimonial, he highlights the trust placed in him, his increased responsibilities, and the gradual evolution of his role toward broader responsibilities within the events division.
I chose to continue my journey at Onet because of the trust they placed in me from the very start of my work-study program and the responsibilities they entrusted to me.
Making the transition from a work-study student to a full-time employee was a source of great pride and the culmination of two years of hard work, both academically and professionally.
My work-study program allowed me to develop my skills in managing requests for proposals, analyzing customer needs, and project management, while becoming more independent and thorough.
Beyond handling cases, my role has gradually evolved to include a broader contribution to the development of the events business, with greater autonomy in developing proposals and supporting strategic projects.
My work-study program was a real springboard, allowing me today to fully contribute to the growth of Onet’s events business.
