Objectives achieved!
When the car fleet goes green

The Loi d'Orientation des Mobilités (LOM) adopted at the end of 2019, imposed new obligations on business fleets by introducing quotas for "clean" vehicles when renewing fleets.

To anticipate the target set for 2022 of 10% of renewals incorporating low or very low emission vehicles, and to include ZFE (low emission zone) constraints, the Onet Group has been committed to a "sustainable mobility" approach for 2 years.

The year 2021 will therefore be the pilot year of the energy transition for the Group, which has already reached the targets set by the1st deadline of the LOM law!

Electric and hybrid vehicles
at the heart of tomorrow's challenges

Making Onet a company with a positive social, societal and environmental impact is the Group's corporate social responsibility policy, called " A present for the future " .

With this in mind, in 2019 we launched a major project to implement an energy transition strategy for 2030.

At the heart of the challenge is the greening of the fleet, which comprises 4,000 different vehicles (light vehicles and light commercial vehicles, of which around 50% are service vehicles and 50% company vehicles) covering an average of 27,000 km per year.

This transition follows on from the Lom and Climat Acts, which make it compulsory to green up vehicle fleets and ban polluting vehicles in EPZs.

Support and guidance for change

As of 2019, we have set up a system that has mobilized all internal and external stakeholders: employees, manufacturers, rental companies, terminal installers, etc.

Real-life tests were carried out: viability tests, autonomy tests, tests of the applications available for organizing our employees' journeys. They were also able to learn more about these new-energy vehicles via a number of webinars. In parallel with this transformation of the fleet, numerous eco-responsible driving training courses are also provided.

The objective?

Efficiently implement and deploy the new "green" vehicles.

An incentive scheme and a new catalog

"We have created a decision-support system so that our employees can be proactive and ask themselves questions about the use of their vehicles.

We have introduced a wide range of electric and hybrid vehicles in each category of our fleet catalog. We offer decision-making tools to encourage our employees to opt for a cleaner vehicle.

An incentive scheme to encourage employees to switch to electric vehicles has also been deployed for company vehicles, with the installation of a reinforced socket at the employee's home paid for by the company. For commercial vehicles, 14 sites have volunteered to install electric charging stations: Pierrelatte, Vannes, Bayonne, Pau, Mont de Marsan, Myons, Poitiers, Saint Priest, Paris, Vitrolles, Nantes, Lyon and Marseille.

Results that lived up to our expectations!

By 2021, we have already achieved the targets set by the Loi Lom of 10% fleet renewal by 2022.

In fact, 13% of clean vehicles have already been ordered since the new vehicles were added to our fleet catalog in April.

Motivated by this momentum, we are pursuing our commitments to anticipate the2nd deadline of the LOM law, which is 20% by 2024, as well as the ban on diesel vehicles in Paris.

Focus on Myons, the1st 100% electric Onet branch!

The story begins with Onet's award of a contract for the urban cleaning of the North-East and South-East zones of the Lyon metropolitan area for the next five years.

An agency Onet Cleaning and Associated Services Lyon Métropole agency has been specially created to support this CSR-stamped service.

The agency has equipped itself with 25 100% electric vehicles to clean and sweep the roads of Greater Lyon. Training sessions have been organized for the 50 Onet employees who will be driving the vehicles.
