As part of the opening of a new logistics facility for a major player in the aerospace industry, we are expanding our team and creating a position for an Assistant Site Manager (M/F).
This site, which will eventually employ between 45 and 50 people, will support the development of a business with significant operational, quality, and customer service challenges.
Reporting to the Site Manager, we are seeking an Assistant Site Manager for our on-site logistics operations.
Your main responsibilities:
Management & Operations
- Supervise and lead the operational teams on a day-to-day basis,
- Be on-site to ensure that logistics operations run smoothly and in accordance with established deadlines, quality standards, and budgets,
- Adjust organizational structure and schedules to ensure optimal operational efficiency,
- Ensure that a positive and unifying work environment is maintained,
- Monitor the website's key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement the necessary corrective actions,
- Help achieve performance goals and drive continuous improvement in customer service.
Relationship with our client:
- Serve as the day-to-day operational liaison with the client,
- Ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction,
- Participate in steering committees and help monitor action plans and operational commitments.
Quality, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental rules and requirements,
- Actively contribute to risk prevention and the improvement of site practices.
Site management and oversight
Working alongside the Site Manager, you may be asked to:
- Help determine team sizes and assist with recruitment,
- Compile weekly reports and ensure they are forwarded to the regional office,
- Work with administrative departments to track contracts, amendments, bonuses, and overtime,
- Provide the necessary information for payroll and billing.
- Previous experience in distribution, preferably in a site supervision or team management role,
- Higher education with at least Bac+2/Bac+3 or more in management, logistics, commerce, management or a related field,
- You have a first successful experience in site supervision and team management,
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to manage and motivate teams,
- Proficiency in the IT tools needed to manage site operations,
- Versatility, sense of responsibility and results orientation,
- Team spirit, active listening and ability to take initiative
