Responsible Development Report 2021: discover Onet's commitments and actions

For over 160 years, Onet has been committed to creating ever healthier, safer and more reliable environments.

 

Our company has long been aware of its social and environmental responsibilities, and of the positive contribution each of its employees makes to our society.

 

We are convinced that our value lies not only in our economic and financial performance, but also in our impact and the way we do business.

 

By reaffirming our support for the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, by dedicating a CSR team to overseeing our 2020-23 CSR roadmap for collective implementation of actions, and by setting concrete indicators and targets, we are giving ourselves the means to achieve our ambition: to make Onet a company with an impact, fully aware of the role it has to play in meeting the challenges facing our society.

At a time when the world is going through a succession of unprecedented crises, we at Onet are increasingly committed to building the future with confidence. The unfailing commitment of our teams during the pandemic highlighted the richness of our professions, the importance of our operations and their contribution to society. The sense of responsibility they demonstrated enabled us to maintain the confidence of our customers and the continuity of our activities.

 

Strengthening the quality of human relations within the Group is, more than ever, a priority in order to demonstrate the strength and inventiveness of the collective. Everyone needs to be able to express their potential and make the most of their know-how. Thanks to theOnet University, the Group continues to offer its employees the opportunity to develop their skills and open up to an ever wider range of expertise.

 

In 2021, we have dedicated a team to the practical implementation of inclusion practices, as well as a network of referents to act in favor of keeping disabled, younger and older workers in employment.

 

Our businesses and corporate culture have continued to integrate the environmental challenges we face. Our climate strategy, designed to reduce our carbon footprint, has resulted in the accelerated electrification of our vehicle fleet and the implementation of new work organizations. We have increased our focus on the circular economy, giving a second life to our equipment and waste. The deployment of our Biogistic eco-responsible waste management solution, for example, is currently being rolled out across all our European subsidiaries, and will enable us to reduce our plastic consumption. In 2022, we will continue to innovate with and for our customers, in all our businesses and in every country where we operate, because our transformation must be global if it is to have an impact.

 

Finally, we also have a responsibility to help the most vulnerable people outside our own walls. This is what we do with the Onet Foundation, when we help to create healthy and safe local environments to combat inadequate housing. Or by working alongside a number of local associations to promote professional integration and the development of social infrastructures.

 

Instilling the desire to act is our responsibility as an employer and as a provider of essential services in the territories. It's also an ambition we share at international level, by contributing to the ten main principles of the Global Compact and the seventeen United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

 

Promoting equality, upholding international labor standards, protecting the environment and supporting the ecological transition...
