What is the role of a nuclear logistics officer?
The nuclear logistics officer is responsible for managing and organizing the flow of materials and equipment within nuclear facilities, particularly power plants. They prepare site logistics, ensuring the availability of safety equipment, assemble SAS, install protective devices, and carry out other tasks related to safety and radiation protection. This job requires good physical skills and initiative to effectively manage interventions on nuclear installations, while complying with the sector's strict safety standards. In general, logistics operatives come before the maintenance trades to prepare the site for the various operations, and are also responsible for winding down the site and restarting the facilities once the work has been completed.

- Prepare worksite logistics at facilities (materials, intervention equipment)
- Carry out a wide variety of tasks such as marking out, SAS assembly, installation of protection, safety and radiation protection equipment, etc...

How do Ibecome a nuclear logistics officer?
Becoming a security guard does not require any specific qualifications. However, certain training courses and qualifications are strongly recommended.
What diploma would enable me to become a nuclear logistics agent?
- A vocational baccalaureate in logistics or equivalent training would be a good starting point.
- BTS in Transport Management and Associated Logistics
Although training is an important advantage, obtaining professional qualification certificates such as SCN, CSQ, EPI, RP1 or H0B0 are required to exercise this profession in nuclear power plants. In short, although a diploma is not always required, qualifications are generally necessary to work asanuclear logistics officer. What's more, possession of a BTS (advanced vocational diploma) would offer better career prospects and progression to management positions.
