What is the role of a central management controller?
The central management controller plays a key role in a company's management control system , centralizing and analyzing financial data from different entities. He/she is responsible for setting up management tools to monitor project data and monthly results. This position also involvesanalyzing discrepancies between set objectives and actual results, and proposing corrective actions to improve financial performance. The Central Financial Controller works in close collaboration with the Finance Department and the Operational Financial Controllers, ensuring a strong link with the teams in the field to guarantee the smooth running of the company. Thanks to their technical and interpersonal skills, they help to define financial objectives and optimize management processes within the organization.
My missions and responsibilities
as central management controller
As part of the Central Controlling team, I am involved in analysis and preparation of the Group's analytical reporting.
Controlling & reporting
- I draw up management procedures and help apply them
- I manage the functional administration of the analytical reporting tool and the various management tools.
- I coordinate monthly closings
- I check the integrity of data and flows in the context of monthly closures
- I monitor and validate the resolution of anomalies and put new functionalities into production.
- I prepare the Group's monthly reporting using cross-functional analyses and data consolidation.
Cross-functional procedures and projects
- I participate in the production of the management report and analyses requested by General Management and the Operational Departments.
- I contribute to the definition of budget construction procedures, and provide the methodology and tools for drawing up forecasts.
- I train people on the Group's decision-making tools
- I take part in many cross-functional projects
