As a low-voltage technician, I play an essential role in securing and protecting our customers' infrastructures. 

What is the role of a low-voltage technician?

A low-voltage technician is a professional specializing in low-voltage electrical systems, i.e. under 50 volts. This includes telecoms networks, security systems, home automation, computer networks and so on. Their main tasks are to install and maintain equipment by wiring, connecting and configuring systems. The technician may also be required to carry out troubleshooting and testing operations to check the conformity of the electrical system.
To exercise this profession, it is important to be familiar with electrical standards and transmission principles, and to master wiring techniques for wired networks (copper and fiber optics).

At Onet, the low-voltage technician deals exclusively with security systems, including fire safety systems, video surveillance security systems and many others. In this way, we maximize the chances of preventing intruders, through anti-intrusion systems, and protecting our customers.

My duties and responsibilities
as a low-voltage technician

Installation : I install electronic security systems at our customers' sites.

  • I carry out installations according to the instructions in the technical file
  • I configure and test installations
  • I carry out and guarantee commissioning

Maintenance : I carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on installations.

  • I carry out maintenance visits according to a defined schedule
  • I detect possible malfunctions and locate faults
  • I carry out the necessary interventions and maintain the installations in working order.

Customer relations: I am the point of contact between the company and our customers.

  • I help customers get to grips with their equipment
  • I ensure their satisfaction and anticipate their expectations
  • I provide support and technical assistance
