What is the role of an APMR agent?
The APMR agent (Agent d'Accompagnement des Personnes à Mobilité Réduite) plays a central role in assisting people with reduced mobility, whether they are disabled, ill or elderly passengers. Its main aim is toensure a smooth and pleasant journey, guaranteeing their safety, comfort and well-being throughout the journey. He/she accompanies passengers through the various areas of the airport/, during baggage check-in and security checks, while paying particular attention to document matching. With a command of sign language and English in some cases, the agent ensures effective communication with passengers, reinforcing their autonomy and their care in complete serenity.
My missions and responsibilities
as an APMR agent
I'm responsible for assisting people with reduced mobility
I take care of people with reduced mobility when they arrive on site
I pass the controls in compliance with the procedures in force,
I manage some essential tasks in parallel:
I take care of all the administrative formalities for your departure,
I carry out regular inventories,
I maintain the entire wheelchair fleet.
What environment will I be working in?
I carry out these missions in a variety of environments where accessibility and support are essential for people with reduced mobility.
- Airports: I play a key role in accompanying passengers throughout their journey, from baggage check-in to boarding, through security checks and the various areas of the airport. I also oversee arrival at the airport, ensuring a smooth and pleasant journey.
- Railway and bus stations: In these transit areas, I assist passengers with reduced mobility to get on and off trains or buses, while ensuring their comfort and safety during the journey.
- Hospitals and care centers: In some cases, I can work in healthcare facilities to accompany patients with reduced mobility as they move around the facilities.
- Events and public places: I can also be present at major events (concerts, conferences) or public places (museums, shopping malls) to guarantee access and support for people with disabilities.
- Public transport: On public transport networks, I make sure that people with reduced mobility can travel in good conditions, in particular by using adapted vehicles.
These missions are mainly concentrated in areas where people with reduced mobility need special assistance to move around safely and with ease.
